@ModernxDad That doesnt make up for the 20 years she could have been working and getting experience and raises. She sacrificed all that to be a stay at home mom. Alimony still makes sense even if she gets a job.

@ModernxDad alimony isn't gendered... it's for a person who gives up money to do unpaid work like raising kids. if you dont want to pay alimony, simply have a 50/50 relationship where that is not happening.
