My point re pneumonia is he could do a 90-minute PR while being worse than last year.
I’m much worse overall now than before I got lung issues - but I was able to do an hour PR because I found a flat road with no traffic lights to ride uninterrupted.

At the E3 Saxo Classic, Mathieu van der Poel just casually held numbers most people hit for like a few minutes… for an hour and a half. He really had to go deep for it. And I fear he won’t be that good tomorrow at Wevelgem.
And he shared also that it was his all-time record. He is not declining. Good news before Ronde and Roubaix. 🥰
