This mobile RV repair technician got a call from a customer to inspect his RV roof that was leaking. The customer paid over $500K for a brand new 2026 RV about four months ago. As you can see, there are cracks in his fiberglass roof. Some people said take it back to the dealership where he got it, but the problem is he picked it up straight from the manufacturer right off the line. Where there’s water, there’s going to be mold and all that insulation is soaked. Everyone, and I mean everyone I know has had issues with their RV. They all seem to be built very poorly. The roofs seem to be cheap. Why not flex armor them all? 💯 To me, even if they repair it, it will never be the same. Never. And it will cost roughly about 40K to fix it. He will have to g through his RV warranty service. Maybe they will cover it but maybe they won’t. I’ve heard some nightmare stories. I wanted to buy one but after hearing all the stories, I will never purchase one. What would you do if you had just spent $500K on an RV only to have to total the roof out 4 months later? (Don’t say buy an RV, that’s too obvious)

I have watched this video ten times and my heart rate increases every single second. There are only two ways to interpret what’s happening here, and honestly, both are terrifying: ​Option A: The Innocent Disaster. She genuinely thought she was being helpful and "deep cleaning" the interior. Bless her heart, but common sense has left the building. ​Option B: The Strategic Mastermind. This is a 10/10 performance of Malicious Compliance. If you want to ensure you are never asked to wash a car again for the rest of your life, this is exactly how you do it. ​The pink foam on the dashboard, the high-pressure water hitting the electronics, the soaked upholstery... it’s a total loss. You have to wonder at what point you’d realize that water and car interiors don't mix, but she just keeps going! ​I need to settle this: Is she actually trying to help or is this the ultimate "I told you so"? ​If your partner sent you this video while you were at work, what is your immediate reaction? Because "Totaling the car" wasn't on the to-do list.

18 yo son’s wages vs mine: 18 yo son: graduated high school a month ago. Has a job with a local roofing company in their solar panel install divison. For commercial jobs he'a paid $63 an hour, $95 if it's overtime. For residential jobs he makes $25/hour. About 70% of their jobs are commercial. He's currently on the apprentice waiting list for the local IBEW hall. Me: 40, masters degree, 12 years of teaching experience. $53,000 a year with ~$70K in student debt load. My hour rate is about $25/hour This is one of the many reasons I think of when people talk about why public education is in shambles.

@JamesAFurey It’s an option. That’s all it ever was supposed to be & never a fix. Efficiencies, collaboration, new ways to share & engage, etc. Not replace everything in the classroom and every instructional book/tool. A Chromebook requires Ts to deploy and use. Put them away when not needed.

Tech does not fix education. It ruins it.
