@jeomaher Did you flush one of your own or buy embryo's? Seriously thinking about flushing some of our best cows and implant into Hfrs
English

@CallansCows Paddy Buckley does ivf here. Have 18 embryos gone in 17 into heifers and one into a first calver. Going by collar cow has held, going on observation 4 heifers have repeated 4 with some queries and 9 fairly sure have passed. Scanning in 3 weeks to confirm.
English

@jhealyq Did you put those eggs into Hfrs or cows? Good return if you could keep those numbers
English

@jhealyq Does he do mobile service Joe or bring the animal to him?
English

@arjanpakkert It's not far away here, gentle reminder on the windscreen every so often 😬
English

@CallansCows Make it done! 💪
Its raining over here in the Netherlands
English

@GreenRForest The Irish government is not too friendly here either. Not listening to the majority of people. Everyone is running faster to stay in the same place.
English

@CallansCows Real dedication. Hate seeing UK policy undercut farming families who keep us going 🌾
English

@AidanAidanmc To be fair I've a lot of experience with both Nedap and Sensehub from my days with Lely and tbf we didn't have much issues outside of old tags starting to fail. Biggest challenge can be having them downloading from the field depending on farm size, herd size and hills etc
English

@CallansCows Collars are great when they work.
But there’s lots of times for what ever reason that they don’t.
Incredibly frustrating at this time of year when they fail 🤯🤯🤯🤯
English

@teddyP73808491 What ones did you go for? Some great tech out there now.
English

@CallansCows Only installed collars here 2 weeks ago and already they are starting to show alerts and helping with the ever increasing demands of the breeding season
English

@TrevorFarrell12 No just ID collars. When we put robots in 10years ago we had a bad experience of collars prior to that. After working with them for 7/8 years I'd advise anyone to go with them. Heats are only a part of their benefit tbh.
English

@CallansCows Do the ones on them not have heat detection Sean? First year with collars here myself
English

@SeanMoy98947674 That's not the issue. Plenty of size for the cows. 2 of the ones out of action are from heifers too. We fatten a lot of our own calves so bull quality is high enough on our list of priorities
English

@CallansCows You need bigger bulls to run with a large herd of cows.
English

@AlanBurton12 @1noeloconnor The pens we have its basically every 2 weeks they get cleaned out. Once calves get past the 6-8week stage they need 3 goes of bedding in 2 weeks
English

@CallansCows @1noeloconnor Cleaning out is definitely saving you, wouldn't have the time here for that in the spring
English

@AlanBurton12 @1noeloconnor Not experienced any issues for the few years we're at it anyway. Try to keep a good bed under them our routine is to clean out every second bedding so never a build up for young calves. Probably helps us that way
English

@CallansCows @1noeloconnor Do you find any issues doing them with rings while inside, infection etc.
English

@Patpatriot4 25% concentrate (soya, oats, home grown alka wheat) 75% Maize and Alka treated chopped wheat straw. Diet is working out at 12.1ME and 16.3% CP
English

@1noeloconnor Just done them with rings when they were being dehorned. Only a couple weeks most of them
English

@CallansCows At what stage do you squeeze the bullocks, Sean?
They're in great fettle there👍
