OK, but like the best launch vehicle so far in history, Falcon 9, had exactly this kind of failure AND they lost the payload, too. Don't doom too hard. Luckily, Blue didn't have the payload attached for the static fire. (Still... it was 15 months until that pad launched again..)

@mattbramanti in England 7.4 million households still have prepaid electric and/or gas meters. they now take credit cards but until fairly recently they were coin operated. if your money on The Meter runs out, your gas or electricity is cut off until you put more money in the meter.

I love the European people. But I don't think they realize just how much their Kings and Lords have screwed them.
Somebody like me, who is considered poor by American standards, still lives more luxuriously than half of Europe.
I rent a full detached home for my family, I own a modern car, I can afford AC, waste gas idling, get long hot showers, eat nearly too many calories, order nearly any commodity on the planet, own a gaming PC and nice TV.
And the sad thing is, most of that's not even irresponsible use of money. Because it's all just so cheap for Americans. Because we produce massive amounts of energy, and energy is wealth. We also have a powerful military, and a powerful military is control, which lets you access more energy, which means more wealth.
Americans did not screw Europe into poverty. Your own leaders did that.

British people aren't annoyed at the fact Americans cant understand, their annoyed about the fact Americans can't seem to grasp that roughly 25% of the entires year wage is spent on electricity for the home ( because the UK has the most expensive electricity bills in the world) so getting a aircon unit would nearly double the bill Brining it to 40% of yearly wage. Meaning you are litterly bankrupt
You have two options
Eat
Or stay cool
Doesn't apply to me as I'm rich enough to afford to live off grid so electricity cost isn't a factor for me
