We're thrilled to share that a brand-new course is coming to Sounds-Write!  Sounds-Write in the Early Years: Get Ready for Reading is a fully online, flexible course designed to equip early years and nursery/Pre-K practitioners with everything they need to help children build crucial foundations for reading success—through phonological and phonemic awareness, language and physical development, and playful, multi-sensory learning. Available in the UK from 1st September and everywhere else from 15th August. Perfect for those working with children yet to start Reception (UK), Kindy (Australia), or Kindergarten (US), this course prepares children for formal phonics teaching in school. If you're working with children who haven’t yet started Reception/Kindy/Kindergarten, this is the ideal starting point. Mrs O’Neill has been reading lots of non fiction books: “This book is a beautifully thought provoking book for older readers about refugees and understanding the journey they take”.

Baumforth’s Book reviews number 2: wonderful characters who you’d want to be your friend, animals you’d want to visit and a lovely story. Mrs Baumforth didn’t want this book to end!

Joint No. 1 in my #FavePicturebooks24 is… “The Iguanadon’s Horn” by @SeanCRubin. It is a truly brilliant exploration of changing understanding. It creates a picture of how in science, art and imagination are part of the process to finding answers. Exceptional #PicturebookPage
