Odd Sock Day. Today in Class 1, we have talked about how we are all unique and that the world would be a boring place if we were all the same. We have designed our own odd socks too. In a world where you can be anything, be kind 🌟☺️

Nursery have been learning about Remembrance Day and making poppies in lots of different ways.

Odd sock day! In nursery we have talked about kindness - using kind words, hands and feet and helping our friends if they are sad. We sorted the socks into pairs and found the odd socks. They also became sock puppets and played hide and seek!

We have had a lot of fun with Supertato and Evil Pea this week. Look at our Super Veggies that we made!

We love forest school and today we have been searching for different coloured leaves 🍁 and talking about Autumn. We have also climbed trees and built a hedgehog house!

🧪We are scientists 👩‍🔬 we have been investigating absorbency today. We are helping the vet to decide which material is the best to help mop up. 🧪

Our new nursery children have settled in brilliantly and our returners have been fantastic role models. We have been busy getting to know each other and learn all the routines. What a fantastic year we are going to have.

Making friends in learning through play.

We are learning to say the sounds and read the words in phonics. Some of us like to practise our skills in learning through play.

We’ve been learning how to care for our class pets Flora and Winnie.

What a great start to the new school year! Welcome to all of our families. The children have had a lovely time getting used to their new environment, friends and routines. 😃

We had such a lovely time at Yorkshire Wildlife park last week!

What a wonderful week we have had in nursery; our school trip to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Sports on the field with SHAPE, science experiments in class and of course watering the flowers in this hot weather.

In nursery we have loved paddling in the pool during this hot weather and then putting our own shoes and socks back on!

When it’s hot and we need an ice pop snack! 😋

💭DREAM BIG DAY 2025💭KS1 have worked collaboratively to design their own food business. They had £10 from Miss Cutts and Mrs O’Neill to build their business. Lots of discussion, decisions and teamwork this week!
