@sfrancisatx @StatisticUrban Actually only 6 out of 15 metro* areas voted blue. Those being Austin, Raleigh, Orlando, Charlotte, Miami, and Atlanta. This is by metro area Most of these metro areas have very large red suburbs that outweigh the democratic core

Starting this Saturday, Ohio breweries like Jackie O’s could face felony charges for selling hemp-derived beverages—products that our voters overwhelmingly legalized in 2023. This ban is an out-of-touch overreach from our Statehouse that threatens jobs, small businesses, farmers, and local breweries. As governor, I’ll respect the will of the voters and ensure that Ohio adults 21+ can safely make their own decisions. It’s that simple.

as a city resident i’m really not happy about this, but due to gerrymandering il-09 is really a suburban district that happens to include some of the north side rather than a city district that crosses into the suburbs. there’s ~225k city residents & 515k suburbanites

Here it is! FIRST CONFIRMED METEORITE. Roberto Vargas, a Meteorite Hunter from Connecticut was the first to find an official fragment from the St. Patrick's Day Asteroid Explosion in Medina County Ohio. It weighs 10 grams. Officials from the American Meteor Society also confirmed 2 other 5 gram fragments were found nearby today. All are rare fragments known as "achondrites," formed by the melting and re-crystallization on larger asteroids. No meteorite of any kind has been found in Ohio since the 1990s...until today. Truly historic! Show this to you friends and family.

Truly, literally, every single business in rural Terlingua, TX is speaking out against the Big Bend border wall in a universally nonpartisan manner with everything they’ve got. One coffee shop built a massive replica wall with a canoe on top saying “STOP THE STEEL.”

After 25 years of planning, Baltimore will most likely get a bus instead of a light rail line that was already federally approved and shovel ready in 2015 because Governor Hogan cancelled the project to shift money to road projects. This is why we can’t have nice things.
