@DaisyBlakemore I though it was just the ones which are in potentially dangerous places and those which are falling to bits. The rest are supposed to be staying. It's good to see flags but the moth eaten torn ones don't look very patriotic.

First, Peterborough city council vote to cancel the elections and now they are removing the British flags. No public consultation on either.

There’s a lot of noise from people who couldn’t find Venezuela on a map yesterday. This is clearly a fast-moving and extremely serious situation. I am not going to rush to judgement or speculate on incomplete reports. I’m more interested in what Venezuelans risking their lives for democracy have to say. The UK’s responsibility is to understand the facts, assess where our national interest lies and consider the consequences for Venezuela’s people and for regional and global stability. It is not for us to second guess from afar the motives and evidence behind these events. Let’s hear what President Trump has to say shortly. I will also be watching closely what is said by Venezuela’s democratic opposition.

@4peterborough To be fair the cancellation of elections was something the Tories did a few years ago for the same reasons Labour are now. Also, Tory councils in Sussex seem overjoyed by the Labour offer. If it's a bad thing to do and tramples all over democracy, then both parties are culpable

When the worlds number 1 tennis player is beaten by the 630 odd ranked obviously unfit male tennis player Playing on a court half that is 9% smaller than her opponent. There simply cannot be any arguing that women cannot compete with men in sport. This is why we need women only sport. It’s not offensive to women - I love sport, I love women’s sports / but I accept we are not as good as men - we never will be, that doesn’t mean we aren’t good or good enough- we just aren’t the same and that’s ok
