One of my more controversial opinions is that the Migrant Crisis will actually save the West in the end, because it is a developmental catalyst. Many young men would have simply spent the rest of their days in effeminate self-indulgence, enjoying the "lifestyle" of their comfortable open air museum and permanently forgetting their lineage - but because their blood and culture are under attack, they are now being forced to rediscover their ancestors' legacy and history in order to protect it. Past behaviors and attitudes, old heroes who were considered shameful or archaic are now being re-identified with. It is repairing the chain between past and future that was broken after WW2, particularly in the 60s.
In other words, this is a galvanizing moment. We are an idealistic people first and foremost with a faustian spirit, but in order to aspire beyond you must have a foundational myth you identify with. Civilization builds on respect for what came before it; it crumbles under indifference. The post-modern apathy bordering on contempt for what got us here has been the primary source of our lack of Will and purpose, and the malaise both demographically and spiritually.
The bottom line is we must reconcile with and honor our past in order to build a future. Migrants, by raping and pillaging the birthright we have taken for granted, are showing us that most cultures have never had any direction - they boil down to little more than flat circle of expanding and contracting biomass, based on how much they can extract or parasite off of others and their environment. They are reminding us that most populations do not have the same values or consciousness as us, and that we really are a different people. In the end they will teach us that what our forefathers left us was not only special and worth fighting for, but worth taking to the next level:
The Stars.
Mark my words, once we get through the chaos of the national restoration and technological transition of the 2030s, that is where our children will be going in the 2040s.
But they would never have cared if it weren't for this moment.
We are their launchpad.
We are not only fighting now for the greatness of what was, but of what will be.
