Politics continues to break smart people's brains. It's sad to watch. We need reason to prevail now more than ever.

@lexfridman At this point Lex is either (a) completely aware of how partisan and brainwashed he has become but doesn’t care or (b) has lost at least 50 IQ points over the last few years. I hope you understand you’re sitting on the wrong side of the history books lately, Lex.

Space Shuttle headed to orbit via the rarely used air drop launch profile from a B-52 (similar to the Virgin Unity spaceplane) Wish they would have launched this way more often!

@DrChrisCombs They never did. The cone on the back confirms it. This was an aerodynamics test.

In 2017, Franck Burgos conducted an archaeological experiment to determine the workforce needed to build the Giza pyramids. He found that it took 4 workers 4 days (6 h/day) to excavate and cut a block weighing about 2.5 tons [buff.ly/3zacRUM, buff.ly/3Euntlh (FR)]

@elonmusk Can this be screen time per character? Long text will generate more screen time but may be less intriguing/looked at for less time than a short text tweet. Short text tweets should stand a chance to be boosted over long text.

The more screentime users spend looking at a post, whether text, pic or video, the more it is boosted. Video posted natively to this platform will be boosted more than an external link, because way more time is spent watching a video than clicking on a link.

@DeadKennedyInS1 Hahah fair points. I think, though, that it’s still impressive how the Soviets consistently operated on the leading edge of human advancement during that time. Lots of failures / propaganda, yes. But I’d expect nothing less of a pioneering nation. But also… fuck Russia

@LCS_Big_Mike I’d add that I don’t think that intent is malicious. It makes sense from a business standpoint. But it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of users when you’re not straightforward about the intention

@LCS_Big_Mike It’s obvious that the intention of Twitter blue is to increase revenue. It’s ironic how much Elon advocates for truth on this platform yet he can’t be straightforward about that 😂
