@CanadianJohn3 I get tired explaining to you morons but here it is. At no other point in Canadian history has a minority government secured a de facto majority by bypassing the electorate through coordinated floor‑crossing.

For a country like Canada, so rich with natural resources and brilliant people, there should be a way to have a government that is not the largest employer!

@RobSchneider And, correct Rob. ... and again I State ,,, Well Stated. Wexit. We need a Republic. With ... 1. A 1A. 2. A 2A. 3. RICO laws. 4. Castle laws. 5. No more money laundering through Global Canada department of looting the tax dollars. ... so Wexit. Ottawa cannot be fixed.

“Mark Carney is saying to Canadians: 'Your vote does not count,'" Poilievre said. “When a member of Parliament goes back on the word they made to their constituents and switches parties, constituents should be able to petition to throw them out and have a byelection, That would put the people back in charge of our democracy rather than having dirty backroom deals."

Again I'm going to reiterate that Canada's biggest problem is actually our Parliamentary system of government, which allows for these corrupt and undemocratic backroom deals and floor crossings between different mafias. Canada needs to upgrade to the American Republic system. 🇺🇲

Marilyn Gladu suffers from extreme attention seeking behaviour. That is why she was one of the most out-spoken Conservatives and now is a Progressive Liberal within 24 hours. Gladu wants to be the bride at ever wedding and corpse at every funeral.

@nationalpost People just don't up and abandon a leader they believe in. But conservatives will blame everyone else and refuse to look inward, because it couldn't possibly be them, right?

Just watched another Conservative MP (Gladu) jump ship to Carney’s Liberals like it’s no big deal. As a libertarian who actually reads history, this is exactly why I trust neither party. Floor-crossing isn’t strategy, it’s an absolute betrayal of the people who elected you. What would the Founding Fathers call this? Who else is done with the Uniparty game?

If you’re whining about the amount of time that Ohtani gets for warm-ups, you should be embarrassed. First of all, he’s not getting any more time than pitchers used to get back in the dark days of pitchers hitting. And second, thrse rules that you cling to so preciously are subject to umpire discretion. So get the hell over it, stop whining, and just enjoy the damn game.

@GreatBig_Sea "Peaceful Canadian truckers" LOL This is pathetic. The first thing these "peaceful" morons did was invade the Sheppard of Good Hope mission and terrorized the staff into given them free food. Maybe people don't vote for CPC because they can't stop lying about literally everything

An Open Letter to All Conservative MPs: Dear Fellow Conservatives, I am writing this open letter as a concerned Canadian who still believes in the core principles that once defined our party: freedom, fiscal responsibility, individual rights, the rule of law, and putting Canadian families and workers first. If you are a sitting Conservative MP seriously considering crossing the floor to join Mark Carney’s Liberal Party, or lending them your support, I urge you to pause and remember exactly who and what you would be endorsing. Think back to the Freedom Convoy of 2022. Peaceful Canadian truckers, farmers, and working families drove to Ottawa to protest coercive vaccine mandates and endless lockdowns that had already destroyed livelihoods, divided families, and shattered small businesses. Instead of dialogue, they were labelled “racists,” “misogynists,” and a “fringe minority” with “unacceptable views.” The Emergencies Act was invoked, bank accounts were frozen without court orders, vehicles were seized, and a protest that police had already confirmed was peaceful was crushed. A federal court later ruled the invocation unconstitutional and a violation of Charter rights. That was not leadership; that was authoritarian overreach. And the Carney government continues to defend every single step of it. Fast-forward to 2026 and consider the Brookfield corruption scandals that keep surfacing. Brookfield Asset Management, the massive global firm with deep ties to Liberal insiders, including Mark Carney himself, has been repeatedly linked to government contracts, asset sales, and influence peddling that smell of crony capitalism. This includes troubling financial ties to Chinese state-linked entities. From strategic investments that benefited Liberal-connected executives to the revolving door between Bay Street power brokers and Carney’s inner circle, ordinary Canadians are left wondering why certain well-connected firms always seem to land on their feet while families struggle with record-high housing costs and inflation. This is the same pattern of Liberal entitlement we saw with SNC-Lavalin, WE Charity, and the green slush-fund scandals. Crossing the floor means you are willing to overlook this culture of corruption. And it doesn’t stop there. Under this Liberal government, our Charter rights have been steadily eroded: Free speech is under attack through bills that threaten to criminalize “hate” based on government-defined standards. Families and provinces have been bullied on everything from natural resource development to carbon taxes that punish the working class while doing nothing meaningful for the environment. Record immigration levels without adequate infrastructure have driven housing costs through the roof and strained health care and social services. The government has also grown increasingly cozy with communist China, despite repeated warnings and clear evidence of foreign interference in our elections and democratic institutions. Chinese meddling, including disinformation campaigns, influence operations targeting Canadian politicians, and attempts to sway outcomes in favour of the Liberals, has been well documented through public inquiries. Yet instead of taking a firm stand to protect Canadian sovereignty, the Carney Liberals have pursued warmer ties, deeper economic engagement, and a softer approach that puts our security and democratic integrity at risk. Meanwhile, child poverty is on the rise, food bank usage is at an all-time high, and people are literally dying on health care wait lists that have grown longer under years of Liberal mismanagement. These are not abstract statistics; they represent real Canadian families struggling, children going to bed hungry, and seniors waiting in pain for treatment that never comes in time. Every time Conservatives have stood up against these failures, the Liberals have smeared us as “far-right” or “dangerous.” Yet the very MPs now thinking of crossing the floor once rightly condemned these same policies. If you cross the floor, you are not “moderating” or “building bridges.” You are handing a blank cheque to the very government that trampled on the rights of the Freedom Convoy protesters, imposed the most divisive mandates in our history, invoked the Emergencies Act against its own citizens, allowed cronyism and questionable China ties to flourish, failed to confront foreign interference, and has left Canadians facing rising child poverty, record food bank lines, deadly health care delays, and systematically weakened rights and prosperity. The Conservative Party of Canada is not perfect, no party is, but it remains the only national vehicle committed to reversing these damages: scrapping the carbon tax, restoring fiscal sanity, defending free speech and sovereignty, securing the border, confronting foreign interference, fixing health care, and putting Canadian families first. Our values have not changed. The country desperately needs principled opposition, not more MPs propping up the very machine that broke trust with millions of us. To every Conservative MP now weighing a floor-crossing: history will record this moment. Your constituents and future generations will ask one simple question: Did you stand with the principles you were elected to defend, or will you abandon them? Stay the course. Fight for the Canada we believe in. The Conservative Party needs your courage now more than ever. Sincerely, A Proud Canadian Conservative

Canada is really the worst spawn point in the west. 1. Oppressively Cold. 2. Tons of low caste Indian immigrants. 3. Nothing to do. 4. No wars to fight. 5. No vast desert to wander in. 6. No space Program. 7. No abundance of Art Hoes. Europe at least has some nice cafes, hot art hoes, and warm weather to enjoy the decline in. Canada bros don’t even get that.

@JakeLandauTO There was no "democratic vote" The Bahamian House of Assembly passed a resolution in early 1911 requesting negotiations to join Canadian Confederation. And since when is a "vote" in one democracy legally binding in another?

Horrible Fact: The Bahamas voted democratically to join Canada in 1911. Both Laurier and then Borden turned them down because the population was black. British diplomats got mad that Canada rejected it, the story is pretty embarrassing.
Caelem 🇨🇦🦉🏹@CaelemSG

@zunxra @JakeLandauTO So they're moving Laurier to the $50? I have to say it's somewhat weird to have Laurier and Borden as the only politicians left on our money. If we're going this far we might as well just get rid of politicians on the money entirely.
