India AI Impact Summit 2026 marked a healthcare milestone with the launch of ‘SAHI’—Strategy for AI in Healthcare to enable safe, ethical AI adoption nationwide. Developed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) along with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), WHO South-East Asia Regional Office, and National Health Authority (NHA), SAHI strengthened clinical decisions, public health intelligence, digital infrastructure, and patient outcomes. Koita Foundation proudly supported this landmark initiative, as Surabhi Goel joined NHA CEO Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal's roundtable translating SAHI's five pillars into national action. #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026 #ResponsibleAI #PeoplePlanetProgress @PMOIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw @jitinprasada @PIB_India @SecretaryMEITY @abhish18 @kavitabha @GoI_MeitY @_DigitalIndia @mygovindia @FoundationKoita @CancerGridIndia

Sad to see misinformation circulating regarding HPV vaccination on social media. Clinical trials show that HPV vaccines provide close to 100% protection against cervical pre-cancers. Its inclusion in national programmes is a consistent recommendation from experts. @MoHFW_INDIA

#WATCH | Delhi: On India to launch India's free nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign, Dr VK Paul, Member (Health) of NITI Aayog, "Cervical cancer refers to cancer that occurs above the mouth of the uterus. Its cause is a virus, the human papillomavirus, which causes this cancer, and there are two or three strains of it that cause it more. Fortunately, for diseases like cancer, we have a tool, a vaccine, that will prevent cancer for life. And the government is now launching a program to make this vaccine available to everyone. This is very important because when we look at the incidence of cancer, which cancers are common, this cancer is number two... Now, we must all join the program to provide this vaccine, which was already available in the market, to everyone in public health. We must all accept it without hesitation. The vaccine is completely safe. This vaccine is being used in more than 160 countries worldwide, and they are showing that it is almost eliminating this cancer. Now, when this vaccine is introduced in the country, it will be a boon for women's empowerment and our girls. You must all join this very soon and systematically. We administer this vaccine to children at the age of 14, who are entering the reproductive age, because there is a chance of this infection coming back after that."
