Shame on Texas and it's evil overloads on what they have done to us.
@GregAbbott_TX @KenPaxtonTX @JohnCornyn @chiproytx @BastropYR
Vote them all out.

I’m tired of keeping this to myself. I feel like I’ve been living a lie, day after day. I interact with people, joking, laughing, sharing ideas. But no one knows. No one really gets that I’m just showing them a mask. I can’t do it anymore, I’m exhausted. So here it goes…….
Marshmallows are disgusting and I’ve always thought so.

@chiproytx @TXGunRights @gunrights @GunOwners @NRA Chip you sold your soul to Satan and everyone knows it. Sit down and shut up you sell out.

When it comes to defending your Second Amendment rights, there is a clear choice in the Attorney General race #2A
Chip Roy is:

Texas gun owners know who they can trust.

@brianeharrison Texas is full of money grabbing Satanist whores. Are you new here?

Update: no response.
It appears the Texas government plans to INCREASE YOUR PROPERTY TAXES again this year.
But don’t worry…. there’s a “5 point plan” that we may start debating… next year.
Brian Harrison@brianeharrison
🚨Since the 89th Legislature was a liberal disaster, I am asking Governor @GregAbbott_TX to 1) VETO some of the worst bills that have not yet become law, and 2) Call an immediate special session to ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES. Texans deserve bold, conservative leadership!
English

@tracybeanz Honestly, our moms were to busy doing EVERYTHING because of our absent fathers. Yes everything hurts, no, there is thing that can done. Welcome to Old Age. Fuck off, no one cares.
English

WHY DON’T OUR MOTHERS HELP US UNDERSTAND PERIMENOPAUSE. WHY DID I HAVE TO DO THIS BY MYSELF?
They never told us shit. Nothing. Nothing about the actual role of estrogen in like, every single neurological function. Not the anxiety, or itching or PVC’s and palpitations. Not the histamine reactions, or the pelvic floor issues, or the sore joints occasionally. They didn’t say a word about mood swings or how important progesterone is or what it does or what happens during luteal.
THAT ENDS NOW. MY DAUGHTER WILL BE PREPARED, DAMMIT.
Ladies, if you have a question I have become an effing encyclopedia of women’s health over the past 3-4 months. Holy shit what a disservice.
Hot flashes? Ha! I’d trade 90% of this shit for hot flashes.

President Obama just appeared at a taco restaurant in Austin with @jamestalarico and @GinaHinojosaTX.
They chatted with restaurant goers and as he left, Obama said, “remember to vote!” to big cheers:

This is fascinating: "Historically reliable GOP voters are showing signs of disengagement, either sitting out this cycle or, in some cases, shifting their partisan affiliation entirely." #txlege
Ragnar Research Partners@ragnarresearch
During this year's primary elections in Texas, we noticed an alarming number of Republican primary voters opting out of our surveys. We dug deep and analyzed over 4,200 terminated interviews to find out why. Read our findings by following the link below: 👇 ragnarresearch.com/gop-voters-n%2…

@brianeharrison Never going to happen. The rich rule us common people in Texas.
English

@WallStreetApes So y'all know we are the worker bees that support the rich right?

Younger Americans are completely giving up on life because of the cost of living
“I’m a Gen Z and I am no longer passionate about anything. I've only been alive for less than three decades and I've already lost almost all will to live and passion and drive”
“Why? Because America — has put lifestyle behind a paywall”
He talks about how life is so expensive it actually feels like the people who control things don’t want us alive, “We're even increasing the price of sustenance like food and shelter because we don't want y'all to stay alive.”
“The way older generations refuse to take any accountability for the life that Gen Z now has to live and will instead jump through hoops to gaslight millennials and Gen Z into being like, ‘actually you all have it way easier than we did, so we have no idea what y'all are complaining about. When I was your age, I paid off my house and my car just being the milkman. Y'all just refused to go get jobs.’
Oh, oh, jobs don't pay a livable wage”
Life in America is so unaffordable, you actually need a 6 figure income in 15 states just to have a family and live comfortably
Here are those 15 states
• Hawaii: $124,467
• Massachusetts: $120,141
• California: $119,475
• New York: $114,691
• Washington: $109,658
• New Jersey: $108,992
• Maryland: $108,867
• Virginia: $106,704
• Colorado: $105,955
• Connecticut: $105,165
• Oregon: $104,666
• New Hampshire: $103,085
• Arizona: $101,587
• Rhode Island: $101,338
• Alaska: $100,298

@jen_rice_ WTF have you traveled around the cities lately? It's a full on invasion!

@ScottPresler I will never, ever vote Republican in Texas again. Nope, Independent or no vote. Paxton is a grade A piece of sh*t. I can't believe so many Texans support him. Our state is full of greed from these rich a**holes that are destroying everything. I will support them no more.

@TylerSmall812 @yonann My grandpa specially requested a pine box at his funeral. It seemed out of place in the beautiful Catholic cathedral he had his service in, but I know he was happy. He left with a little more than he came with.

Dave Ramsey tells a caller not to pay for his mom's $25K funeral
Caller: "She makes about $1,600 a month from Social Security and the funeral home quoted us 25 to 26 thousand dollars… they wanted $400 for a video with some of her pictures"
Dave: "Mom, you did not live your life in a Mercedes and you shouldn't die in a Mercedes"

@sappholives83 My mother has been getting large blisters all over for months, and the doctors were prescribing medicine that made things worse. Grok suggested bullous pemphigoid, and we are awaiting results. The docs think I may be right! They didn't take the time to research it during visits.
English

I don’t usually do product placement, but in this case I owe Grok a debt of gratitude.
I was having a bunch of little symptoms, and none of them really seem that related. I put them into Grok mostly for the heck of it, and inside of three minutes it was telling me that I needed to see a neurologist.
Well, I did go to the neurologist yesterday morning, and lo and behold, Grok was right. I am in fact having neurological issues that go deeper than I’d realized. and they are beginning the process of testing for MS and other neurological issues related to demyelination. (I think that’s the right word.) They found weakness in both arms and my right leg, as well as significant balance issues when I close my eyes or do the heel-toe walk. My pupils were also less reactive to light than they should have been. So yeah, this is gonna be fun :/.
Without Grok, I’d still be wondering vaguely if maybe I should say something about these issues to a doctor, and probably deciding not to, because individually none of them seemed that bad.

@SydneyLWatson My husband had a massive heart attack with no insurance. 300k, about 150k wiped out as cash pay. Then they dropped it down to 97k. Never paid a dime and a year later the balance was zero. Wasn't reported to credit. It just disappeared. Don't pay it. Wait them out a bit and see...

Seen a lot of conversation about how predatory the American medical system is.
So I will weigh in.
I ended up going to the ER about 2 weeks ago for crippling pain. Turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. I was there for MAYBE 4 hours.
My bill? $13,500 dollars.
Because I'm uninsured (by choice, that shit is a SCAM), the hospital dropped my bill down to $8,100 and some change as an "uninsured" discount.
For starters, $13,500 for a 4 hour hospital visit is insane as it is.
But the fact the hospital can wipe $5,000 off the bill "just because" should show you how utterly fucked this system is.
And to be clear - $8,000 is still an absolutely insane sum of money when all these people did was scan my stomach and give me some pain killers.
On my itemized bill, my CT scan was 7k. The iodine they used was $900. Just being in the ER room alone was $2,500.
We phoned the hospital to haggle. They dropped the price by $20.
Normal people can't survive this shit. I do okay and $8,000 is still an INSANE chunk of money out of my savings.
Anyone who argues this isn't a disgusting, predatory system is crazy. And it is even crazier that Americans accept this.
And for those of you who argue this is the free market, I need you to be quiet. There can never be a true free market here when government and insurance have their creepy little fingers in this pie.
People shouldn't go bankrupt trying to pay medical bills. This has to change.

@matthewdmarsden @GregAbbott_TX Mine should go down to close to zero on my home this year. Its a new mobile but loses 10% of its value every year. Last year it was valued for the 140k exemption amount. My land on the other hand may go up. The ag exemption should be for 2 acres but it's 5. They should fix that.
English

Texas people...have you had your property tax go down at all in the past 5 years?
I am sick of the BS @GregAbbott_TX is spinning on this.
Something substantial needs to be done about cities hiking up the rates and wiping out any benefits of the homestead exemption.
English

@BarackObama I'll summarize the entire thread. Everyone is wondering why this guy isn't in prison because he is the original source of all problems in this country. 💯%. But no one alive on this earth is powerful enough to take this evil man down. We need Jesus to intervene. His time is now.
English

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

@gotrice2024 Happened to me with kiwis. I get itchy just thinking about them, but ate them often in childhood. No reaction then.
English

This woman was enjoying herself at a pickle festival in her city. She tried, pickle lemonade, pickle pizza, fried pickles. Anything that had pickles in it, she ate it.
After she got home, she was trying out her pickle souvenirs, when she noticed she started getting puffy, her eyes swelled shut. She’s never been allergic to any food before yet she feels like she’s having a reaction.
She ended up in the ER after she couldn’t calm down and her swelling got worst. Do you feel it’s possible to develop an allergy to a food you’ve been eating your whole life, or could this be something else like a sodium overload or sodium overdose?

@FlyoverCntryGal @WadeMiller Where is the nearest charging station? Can you afford one at your home? I've driven in West Texas and didn't see a regular gas station for 400 miles. Pretty sure electric isn't an option out there.
English

@WadeMiller What a great testimonial.
As soon as there’s a dealership/service center near me, I’m getting one. The nearest one right now is 150 miles away.
West Texas life 🤷🏼♀️

I bought a Tesla. Never thought I’d get an electric vehicle, but took a ride in a buddy’s Tesla and changed my mind.
I’ve been using the supervised self-driving mode for my daily commute into DC. It’s pretty amazing.
Today the car suddenly moved into the left lane, very abruptly. In that split second a very large piece of debris blew into the lane I had been in. The Tesla self driving system saw what I couldn’t see.
When I drive I can only see from the perspective of the driver side front seat. The Tesla has multiple censors with different angles of view. It saw what I couldn’t.
Importantly, even I I had seen it at the same time, the split second that it would have taken me to check blind spots and then consciously make the decision to move over would have taken too long. The Tesla knew all these variables simultaneously and almost instantly and was able to avoid impact safely.
Well done @elonmusk and @Tesla team.
