why don’t we all just name one thing we like about star wars instead of rehashing the same discourse every couple of months

There seems to be this continued misunderstanding among people in SWtwt over people wanting things “like Andor” I can’t speak for everyone but when people say that, they don’t mean everything should be a gritty spy drama lol, just a well written story with good dialogue.

A big part of why the Sequel Trilogy has soured so many people on canon’s post ROTJ timeline is so many of its character/worldbuilding decisions betray its very premise as a SEQUEL. Things haven’t grown or advanced in 30 years. Only either stagnated at best and mostly regressed.

I'm bored and I'm sick, so fuck it: Sequel Trilogy rewatch.

George Lucas was so worried about "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) being a failure that he self-funded the entire movie. He took out a massive bank loan against his own property to maintain total creative control from the studios.

The fact that there are no guardrails in this area because the Death Star was designed by Geonosians that could just fly away in case of an emergency is honestly such a great detail.
