One of our most important career decisions is who we marry. People earn more—and are happier—if their spouses are dependable and hardworking. Conscientious partners give more support and model better habits. We don't only benefit from our loved ones' strengths; we absorb them.

If you are pinging someone who’s busier than you, you should have a single well-thought-out specific ask. Only ask for something you truly cannot do on your own, and where you have done everything you possibly can by yourself. For example, if you’re asking someone to send an email on your behalf, you should have a draft message ready. If you’re asking them to sign something, you should prepare a docusign beforehand with the signature blocks indicated. Or if you’re asking for an appointment, you should do it at their convenience. Asking for time is like asking for capital, so be efficient with your asks.

The wiser you become, the less you argue, because you begin to see that people defend identity, not truth. Silence replaces correction, not out of arrogance, but because explanation no longer feels worth it.

Helping people & loved ones : the brutal truth Many people reach out to me that want to help other people, or help loved ones they see suffering a lot, and it ends up in total disappointment. Why? Brutal truth is that people will only change, when they want to change themselves. You can talk to anyone as much as you want, try to convince them, present options, pay for things, try to get them in rehab/recovery/clinics/health programs, but if they do not want it themselves, ZERO change will happen. I have close family-members too that are not well, and even-though they know what i do, they still refuse to change or take themselves serious. So what to do when you want to help someone and you encounter nothing but resistance? Let it go I know it is tough to see people and especially loved ones or friends and family suffer hard, but people simply need the suffering to eventually make their own decision to change....nobody can impose that upon anyone else. This is why i always congratulate people when they come to me or dm me ´for help´ on their own initiative. It means they are finally ready to take some advise seriously. Taking the step to ´help yourself´, or ´look for help´ is an enormous step ahead already since it means you are open for change. So if you see people/family/loved ones suffering and you are driving yourself crazy trying to help them.....let it go and cut it. Not easy advise to hear...but after helping so many.....i am 100% sure that people only change when they want to change themselves.
