@opinali @AMDRadeon Well yeah but I have a 7900XTX. Also something I seem to have just discovered, the Radeon AI Pro 9700 and all GPUs don’t have professional drivers at all…what is AMD doing?

@CaptMcShotty @AMDRadeon Well for profeswsional card in particular it is not ideal to use drivers that aren't officially supported, even if they install and apparently work. This rigid segmentation is pretty bad for enthusiasts that want to use the same build for gaming & some media production work.

Oh so that's what I had identified investigating the driver changes, I saw 26.5.1 removed a big subpackage of DLLs and AI models but I thought that was used only for Ryzen AI NPUs. But nope it was the whole ROCm 6 runtime for all supported hardware. 🧵

@opinali You can install them on any RDNA2 or newer GPU. They're compatible and install and function normally. AMD just has stopped actually showing then as an option for reasons unknown.
