@PeterDClack I questioned the models in class and saw there was a clear dampening effect (graduate systems engineering class), I asked if this was an indication of a correcting effect in the Earth for anthropomorphic carbon. He effectively said, the hypothesis is the same, we just need data
Higher CO₂ levels are turning the world's deserts and the barrens into a living biological matrix visible from space.
CO₂ is credited with greening a quarter to half of Earth's vegetated lands at a rate never seen before in all recorded history (NASA). There's been a more than 18% increase in global leaf cover in just 40 years, the largest gains in India and China (from deliberate CO₂ fertilisation).
Global crop yields have risen by up to 20% since 1960, largely driven by CO₂ fertilisation, alongside agricultural advances. Famine deaths have plummeted in a time when the world's population has doubled - and CO₂ deserves much of the credit.
This is the hidden story behind a Net Zero driven carbon economy. CO₂ has driven this timely explosion in a greening world, agriculture and booming oceanic phytoplankton (in many studies). Every 100 ppm increase in CO₂ typically boosts plant growth by 25–50%.
An analysis of 776 studies from 1993–2019, shows ideal average CO₂ levels of 550 ppm deliver a 38% increase in global biomass. This is a keen biological message that has been shut out for 40 years.
The IPCC has realised this too, and has downgraded its dire temperature warnings from a high of 5°C degrees to around 2.5°C degrees. This suggests today's temperatures are not expected to change much over the next 25 years. It doesn't make sense to target CO₂ for some unknown future climate collapse - one built in a computer simulation.
The science says 600–1000 ppm of CO₂ plus 1–2°C extra warming hits the 'sweet spot' for terrestrial and marine life, including human civilisation. This is why commercial greenhouses pump CO₂ to 1000–1500 ppm to ensure crop yields jump by 20–70%. The human species evolved in an atmosphere very like today's.
It's not new. Our early ancestors - the Great Apes and Old World Monkeys - evolved around 25 million years ago when CO₂ was 400–500 ppm and life was thriving during the tropical ice-free Miocene. Modern homo sapiens first emerged 300,000 years ago after the Pleistocene, when CO₂ was cycling from 200 to 300 ppm (Vostok/EPICA ice cores).
Now we’re back to 427 ppm (Mauna Loa, Nov 2025) - a level that is greening the planet and boosting crop yields.
It doesn't make sense to wage a vendetta on the very gas that makes our world greener and more habitable.
Caitlin Clark’s three-point shooting over her last eight WNBA games:
2-for-9 (today) 1-for-7
2-for-7 1-for-7 2-for-5 0-for-6 1-for-10 0-for-7
That’s 9-for-58 (15.5%) from three over her last eight WNBA games.
Honey locust trees are one of the most fascinating examples of what scientists call an “evolutionary anachronism”, a trait that seems designed for animals that no longer exist.
Its dense clusters of enormous thorns, growing along the trunk and lower branches, are thought to have evolved during the Pleistocene epoch to protect the tree from bark damage caused by giant herbivores such as Mastodon and Giant ground sloth. While these prehistoric animals likely helped disperse the tree’s seeds by eating its sweet pods, they could also strip bark, break branches, and damage the tree as they fed. Though those Ice Age giants vanished thousands of years ago, the honey locust still carries its ancient armour today, a living reminder of a prehistoric world shaped by megafauna.

@timotheeology@FirstTake@RealSkipBayless Kobe and Bron switch. Russell lower. Let's be honest, there was no free agency, 3 point line, or dunks on his era. Not the same game
Add to Skip's list Steph somewhere in top 9 and move Lebron to #10 (I lean toward putting Hakeem at #10, but in charity, I'll bump Bron into top ten).
1) MJ
2) Kobe
3) Kareem
4) Larry
5) Steph
6) TD
7) Shaq
8) Magic
9) Bill Russell
**each of these ^^^ won 3 or more chips on 1 team

@LoudOutside "Young girl like 30 years old"
That's a woman that's seen a bit of life and stuck in her ways. She's going to have to change her habits to work with a man willing to raise another man's child.
@WydAlphaX Mic drop, Women raise your daughterz BETTER. BUT dude u r a bitch ass nigga 4 throwing that many punches 2 get her out of there. After all, she s still a woman. Don t arvud w/ a woman degrades your manhood. His momma rsise him. His emotions took over. Feminist
@ImMeme0 Black people do the same and worse but judging by how she speaks she doesn't interact with and is also afraid of us. Remember this is bullying. They don't fear White people at all. They're creating a slave class through language.
AOC says no one can earn $1 billion honestly.
She says Billionaires build their wealth from exploitation and abusing workers.
Do you Agree or Disagree?
I did. Canada is part of North America
If you mean US... Swap SGA for LeBron, Tatum, brunson,
Again... This is a dumb conversation, but the US team would still be pretty solid. Yes Euro teams have completely closed the gap.
3 or more of the top 5 players right now aren't US.
SGA, Luka, Jokic, Wemby, Giannis. Probably the top 5 is we're honest
Q: Do you have any intention to play when the series shifts to LA?
A: “I’m just doing everything I can … Every day I’m doing things I’m supposed to do. … The doctor said eight weeks at the beginning of the first MRI. So I’m just going day by day and I feel better every day”
@mcten I will spell this out simple for you, Dave. Any1 that 👀 Mj or Kobe has no tolerance for this 🤡 He's just a buffoon,& the media makes us listen to this trash player with no skills hype himself up like he's the next big thing. But you're lefraud sexual, so you don't understand
Q: JJ Redick was irate about the officials, how was that a factor in the runs OKC put together?
LeBron James: “We’re down 2-0.”
Q: Redick said you get the worst whistle of any superstar he’s seen, why do you think that is?
LeBron: “I don’t know”
