Flat tax. Whether you make $1000 or $100 million. A fixed percentage for everybody. And that’s it. A one-page tax form. No bullshit. Everybody pays a reasonable and equitable amount. Everyone - from the wealthiest to the poorest - have skin in the game.

Holly Hunter says it was great being barefoot in Starfleet Academy: “I thought was really fantastic." "That's fun, because it's the antithesis of what you should do – people are wearing protective footwear – boots, maybe with steel toes. And there I am completely unprotected and trotting around, loping around, lazing around. Yeah, I like the opposition of it.” Was this fun to you or cringe?

🚨Heavy Handed removal of retiree benefits: A retired LCDR was just banned from all Navy bases and facilities in the Hampton Roads area for accidentally having a personal weapon in his vehicle at the base gate checkpoint. The retired naval officer has a Concealed Carry Permit. He also followed all directions provided to him by base security while voluntarily discussing his CC permit and noting that he had mistakenly had the weapon in his vehicle. Security suggested he turn around and come back without the weapon. He did so gladly and immediately returned back through the same gate (without the weapon of course) while the same security guards offered apologies for the inconvenience. The subsequent ban was an unexpected shock and a grave heavy-handed response to an honest mistake. The JAGs and Commander at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek have unilaterally removed all retiree benefits (except retiree pay) from an honorable man. He can no longer attend base functions, work a job on the base, use MWR facilities, or the commissary (military grocery store). Based on Secretary @PeteHegseth’s desire to ensure Second Amendment rights are defended by our Institutions, and that those exercising these rights are not unlawfully weaponized against, I pray this ban is quickly reversed.

Our military installations have been turned into gun-free zones—leaving our service members vulnerable and exposed. That ends today.

Is honkey still offensive to white people? On the Jeffersons they used it quite a bit. I think it’s funny.

Actually, they do make shows people ask for, albeit irregularly. They are out of ideas. It is as simple as that. They are unwilling to risk money on a new idea and bet that the older idea will resonate with fans. It usually does not with few exceptions. IMHO, they can’t top the original.

@CaptainNukko @netflix Most TV shows and movies aren't created because people "ask for them" they are marketed and that creates a want to consume a show/movie not asked for.

I congratulated him but I had to show him the math. $140K salary = $8,750/month after tax $2,800 rent $650 car payment (Audi A4) $280 insurance $180 gas $1,200 DoorDash $400 eating out $200 gym $120 subscriptions $1,500 bottle service $900 barber (2x a week) $500 going out $200 random expenses He's left with $820. Daycare? $2,000/month. Now he's -$1,180 every month. $140K/year is survival, bro. how about you setup a store

Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, has made the planet itself the sole beneficiary and effective "shareholder" of his company. In an extraordinary move that redefined corporate ownership, Chouinard transferred full control of the $3 billion outdoor apparel brand away from his family. He placed 100% of the company into a carefully designed structure consisting of a trust and a nonprofit organization, both dedicated to combating the climate crisis and protecting the natural world. Under this new arrangement, the Chouinard family gave up any claim to personal profits. Instead, all earnings not reinvested in growing the business—roughly $100 million each year—now flow directly to environmental causes, funding the preservation of wild lands, conservation efforts, and initiatives to fight climate change. In essence, Patagonia now exists to serve Earth as its only true shareholder, placing planetary survival above the accumulation of private wealth. The model has already delivered significant results. As of 2025, the company had channeled an additional $180 million into nature-protection projects. The structure relies on two key entities: the Patagonia Purpose Trust, which safeguards the company’s original mission and values, and the Holdfast Collective, a nonprofit that directs the profits toward high-impact environmental work. Rather than selling the business to the highest bidder or taking it public, Chouinard chose this radical path—creating what many see as a groundbreaking template for purpose-driven capitalism. Patagonia has shown that a for-profit company can become a powerful force for ecological restoration while remaining financially successful. [Chouinard, Y. (2022). Patagonia's Next Chapter: Earth is Now Our Only Shareholder. Patagonia Works]

Iran has deployed its Ghadir-class midget submarines in the Persian Gulf and near the Strait of Hormuz. A large number of these submarines have been deployed and given clear instructions that if any enemy ship crosses into Iran’s waters, they should immediately destroy it. These submarines are specifically designed to operate in shallow waters, and the United States has no counter to them.

Claiming that you are a sovereign citizen never goes well for the individual. They are severely misinformed and use this bad information to try and get out of traffic stops, mostly. They aren’t driving they are “traveling.” There are no court cases in existence where a person claiming to be a sovereign citizen won. Not a single one.

CBS News says your phone is “Not listening to you” According to CBS, if you’re talking about something and an ad pops up on your phone for it, it’s a “creepy coincidence” They say processing audio from billions of phones in real time to pick out keywords and serve ads would be technically impossible at scale According to them, a scientific study of thousands of Android apps found no evidence of surreptitious audio recording being sent to advertisers I don’t believe this, not even a little bit
