psst. That RC post the other day about the eBay X Help pulling support on X. The referenced link domain is registered in Zurich, Switzerland. eBay Ventures, which is eBay's Venture Capital business unit that is involved in an abnormally large amount of eBay, Inc., acquisitions of Venture Backed Companies by eBay Ventures (and others) is also based in Zurich, Switzerland. eBay Ventures invests $20M in Tise, Inc in 2022, as a first round investment, 3 years later, that business sells to eBay Inc, for multiples higher (big big big multiples). I think they are moving money for the benefit of a few, and maybe just one or two, but I doubt it. That CEO, those Board people, are not dumb, they cannot claim ignorance. All highly educated Ivy League or just as far up there like Stanford. They are definitely not rewarding Shareholders for those acquisitions. Find one acquisition that is profitable. Find one that makes sense for captured GMV growth rate repetition to recoup that initial purchase amount. I cannot. Take the Depop acquisition this past February. eBay Inc. paid $1.2B, the company loses money, as referenced in only one article I could find as a 350 basis point drag (-3.5%) to Etsy's $162.982M of net profit in 2025. That makes a break even on that $1.2B coupled with a generous 60% year-over-year sustained growth, way past 10 years. A third grader could figure out that math doesn't work. Who paid for it..? eBay Shareholders, and they paid cash...!! eBay Ventures formed in 2022 is listed as an eBay Business Unit. Two search results in all of SEC Edgar for "eBay Ventures" and neither are with regard to financials, or account for their balance sheet. Look who pumps that eBay + Tise acquisition. All of the Hedge Fund Research sites, and MSM sites. All of them, and they are all praising it as the next spectacular move. Do the math. They are over paying through the nose on these acquisitions, and receiving nothing, except an obscure name to a Web Site which, with a little spit and polish, the eBay Web Site could accomplish the exact same thing. For crying out loud, it is eBay..!!! eBay is the most recognizable name in the World, and they want to drop $1B here, $2B there, a couple of times a year, to acquire an unknown name, with minimal buyers, and attribute the genius acquisition captures 80% of 24-35 year olds, as it has a social media component....? That is biggest piece of Bull Shit, I've ever heard. These people are nothing but plain and simple, thieves. And they are getting ready to be schooled by a High School Diploma graduate (and proud of it) genius. RC wasn't kidding about the greatest time to be alive in history is now.
