Cardano Tech Summit Buenos Aires 2025 and the regional LATAM Hackathon were much more than an event , they were a celebration of the samurai spirit of the Cardano community in LATAM 🥷⚔️ We want to express our deep gratitude to @Cardano_CF ,the @InputOutputHK , and @IntersectMBO for making this LATAM regional event possible and for supporting education and ecosystem growth in our region. We were honored to host key leaders, institutions, and projects from across the region and the global ecosystem, including representatives from @UNDP, @UBAuniversidad (Dean @WillyDuran65), @frbautn (Dean @ingoliveto), the CEO of @blockchain_rio, @labitconf, @rafaelfraga_f, @JBriggsLondon, @primetimeindy, @david1casey, @CardanoFeed, @Funintecvzla, @Gov_Chain, @DanielaHubBr, @_khyron, @jsierrax, @carloslodelar, @santicarmuega, @FedeWeill, @RiveroMartinOK, @modp_, @CointelegraphEE, as well as projects and organizations such as @lace_io, @midnightfdn, @txpipe_tools, @FairGateLabs, @Tokenmithr, @Sead_world,@GameChangerOk, @ExuraLabs, @eddalabs_io, @kwarxs, @jotapippo, De Desciquark a Synthum, Potion Tools Collective, @SenseiNode, @FundingCommons, among many others who contributed with content, workshops, presentations and community energy. Highlights included a simultaneous chess exhibition led by a female Olympic player, 3 HYDRA machines running live, MANDALORIAN for midnight privacy, workshops about MIDNIGHT, Intersect VISION 2030, Txpipe , and 7 technical talks, and the inauguration of the Laboratory of Decentralized Computing and Digital Trust by IO Research , with an academic track on verifiable computation, zkVMs, private verifiable computation and MPC mythbusting. The entire event was designed around a Japanese theme, honoring Cardano’s origins in Japan and the warrior spirit of the builders who completed the IOG-led course and hackathon :Hackathon prizes of 10,000 USD, awarded together with katanas in three categories: black, red, and white 🥷 • Taiko performances, Kendo demonstrations, and a Japanese food experience with Dorayaki (traditional Japanese sweet) and sushi for attendees • Special merch: a Japanese-style mate, symbolizing the cultural bridge between Japan, Argentina, and LATAM We want to thank @IOHK_Charles and @jj_siler for making the inauguration of the Laboratory of Decentralized Computing and Digital Trust at the Summit possible. Huge thanks as well to the four instructors of the Hackathon and Developers course – @roberm, @kdchaires, @jarturomora and @antonioiglez – and to @adadogpool and @ChileStakepo, who did an amazing job as Masters of Ceremony for the Summit. Finally, a very special thank you to Cardano Foundation’s Marketing Director @Laura_Mattiucci and Elis Moormaa for their constant support and attention to every detail of the event. 🙌 To every participant, speaker, volunteer, sponsor, and project: thank you for making this possible – this video is just a glimpse of what Cardano in LATAM is becoming. 🚀 #CardanoCommunity #CardanoSummit2025 @Cardano @CardanoSummit

I vote YES on the IO: Developer Experience Initiative. To me, this addresses a core “chicken and egg” problem in Cardano: we can invest in Bitcoin DeFi, interoperability, stablecoins, bridges, and infrastructure…

I'd suggest to seriously consider the "Developer Experience Initiative" We are losing developers in the first few weeks simply because building on Cardano is still too fragmented and complex. Cardano is stuck at ~550 active developers with flat growth, while Ethereum adds ~1,940 new devs per year and Solana adds ~884. This proposal directly fixes the biggest pain points identified in a survey of 109 Cardano builders: scattered tooling, poor documentation, lack of coordination, and a brutal onboarding curve. @theroberm(Robertino Martinez from @IOGroup ) is the perfect person to lead it. The plan is concrete and high-impact, number 2 is my favorite: 1. cardano-init CLI → go from zero to a working project in minutes (any stack) 2. OpenZeppelin-style ready-to-use smart contract library 3. Unified, beginner-friendly Developer Portal 4. Targeted bounties to improve existing tools and libraries cardanoscan.io/govAction/gov_…

As a DRep, voting No on dev experience because 'node maintenance exists' is like denying a hospital because there are ambulances. Different layers solving different problems. #Cardano

Hi, Yoda! Thank you for the thorough explanation. I do think there are several misconceptions that I'd like to address: There is no overlap with either the IO or other community proposals. To be clear, the problem I want to solve is builders choosing other ecosystems over ours. This article goes in-depth about that: x.com/theroberm/stat… The Maintenance Initiative focuses on maintaining our core infrastructure and documentation. It's incredibly important, but even if all that is implemented, how is that going to make it easier to onboard more developers? The same things we struggle with now will still be there. "Engagement & Ecosystem support" for each proposal covers the work related to their proposal, not others. For example, I'll support the ecosystem by paying bounties to tooling/library devs to improve their tools and integrate them with the rest of the ecosystem. They'll benefit, and the whole Cardano community will benefit because it'll make our tooling easier to use. That's just one example; all my items are actually ecosystem support targeted at onboarding more developers. About: "I do not fully agree with the premise that fragmented tooling and scattered documentation are currently the primary bottlenecks to building on Cardano." That's an opinion, not a statement, so I won't argue. I will say that I've been working publicly on this proposal for months, and I've spoken with TxPipe, MeshJS, CF, Intersect, and many other teams in the space; they all agreed this was needed and provided valuable feedback that I used to improve the proposal. Plus, if you look at CF's Developer Report, you'll see that those are indeed the issues that developers point to as the most important (questions 12 and 28, for example): cardano-foundation.github.io/state-of-the-d… Just pointing out that it's not that I had an idea and pushed for it, I worked and aligned with the dev community, and the proposal came out of those discussions. Here are two examples: My presentation at the buidler fest: youtu.be/HIbnHwb14lU?si… And an open source repo with drafts of previous proposals: github.com/rober-m/cardan… About: "Cardano already has an official developer portal maintained by the Cardano Foundation: developers.cardano.org. It is important to maintain a single, well-maintained source of truth rather than introducing additional parallel documentation efforts that risk fragmentation and eventual obsolescence." Yes! Agree 100%! That's why we've been working with the CF (@boraonchain) to identify what we need to improve to make the portal an amazing onboarding experience. And that's what I put on the proposal. All teams are aligned. We expressed that in several Intersect Developer Experience meetings and GitHub issues: github.com/cardano-founda… github.com/cardano-founda… github.com/cardano-founda… This also goes for Intersect's Developer Advocate program. We aligned our work so they don't have to do what we do, and we don't have to do what they do. We complement each other. Agree 100% with "As Cardano matures, it is important to gradually reduce dependency on founding entities and enable a more decentralized ecosystem of contributors." If you look at the intended effects of the proposal, it is to lift everyone else. It's to make all community tooling easily accessible, well-documented, and easier to use, independent of your marketing budget. If these were the things you weighted as key for the decision, I'd like to ask you to reconsider. No one ordered me to make this proposal or told me what items I had to include. I saw an opportunity to solve a problem that has been bothering our dev community (and me for almost 5 years), and I took it. If we don't solve this issue, the gap between Cardano and competing ecosystems will keep growing (as it has for the past 6 years) until there's no way we can compete. I don't want to keep seeing that. Thank you for all your efforts as a DRep, btw. I really appreciate it. You make a good point that we should require proper documentation as part of the delivery process. Not only that, but we should also require them to contribute to and maintain that documentation on the Developer Portal. There are, sadly, virtually no contributors to the Dev Portal and almost no incentive to do so.

Thank you so much, @InputEndorsers, for providing thorough reasoning and asking for clarity about some points of my proposal (IO: Developer Experience Initiative). 💪 I'll answer your queries here, if that's ok. About the LLM/AI integration: That's a great question, and the answer is that we're going to do everything possible to make it easier for LLMs/AI agents to use our docs, libraries, and tooling. To be precise: On the portal: - We'll ensure all pages render in a way that can be `curl`ed by agents. That way, you could just share a link with the agent, and it'd be able to download the actual contents without a browser. - We'll add a `/llms.txt` page with a short overview and a ton of links pointing to different parts of the documentation. That way, users just need to share one link, and the agent can find anything by navigating anywhere inside the docs. This is slowly becoming standard practice. Example: mastra.ai/llms.txt. - We'll add a CI/CD pipeline to check code snippets and get a proper error if they break. - We might implement an MPC server to search in the docs, but we're not sure if it'll be worth it. The objective is the same as with llms.txt, and in theory, it can do more. But the jury is out on whether it would be worth it to only query docs. Maybe to save on token usage. We'll see. - Versioning the portal is not as easy as it sounds because of the sheer amount of tooling and libraries it presents. It seems, however, that it is viable to add version markers to the code snippets themselves. That way, the agent will be able to pick up if the doc version matches their local version. On the cardano-init CLI: - We'll provide skills based on the tech stack the developer chose. Skills are very useful when developers need to perform the same task multiple times, but not always in exactly the same way (e.g., refactor to prevent double satisfaction). - We'll also provide an AGENTS.md file based on the tech stack the developer chose, with links to documentation so the agent can go straight to the docs without the need for the developer to search for it first. On the contracts library: - The contracts library itself will become high-quality code with explanations that the developer will be able to use to ground their agents. - The docs themselves will contain prompts that newcomers could just copy/paste to their agents to allow them to (using cardano-init and the Dev Portal) set up a new project, import and set up the library, reference docs for future changes (if needed), and deploy. To avoid the common problem of agents picking up outdated tooling, we just need to make sure these three "sources of truth" are correct. If an old tool is deprecated, we remove it. If a new tool is created, we add it. That way, agents only need to go to the Portal to ensure up-to-date info. About collaborating with CF: In an ideal world, we'd have done the proposal together. Sadly, it's not that simple to align two big entities on everything. That's why I opted for the most practical and fast solution. I met with @boraonchain (in charge of the Developer Portal) and Interesect's Developer Advocate team many times during the last couple of months, and we ensured our roadmaps and objectives are aligned in a way that the work of one team adds to the work of the other two, and no work is repeated. We even expressed as much in public repos: github.com/cardano-founda… github.com/cardano-founda… github.com/cardano-founda… github.com/rober-m/cardan… There's a lot more info about what I explained here in those links. I hope this helps answer your questions and that you find it good enough to support it. 🙇 In any case, I'm here to answer any other questions you (or anyone reading) might have. 💪😁

I fully endorse Carlos de Lara’s proposal, titled “Consensus.” 🔵 I had the opportunity to speak with him and Sebastian Nagel during the Node Diversity Workshop and BuilderFest in Buenos Aires, and their progress has been truly impressive. Carlos is an exceptionally capable, brilliant, and deeply committed professional. He is one of the remarkable minds that SanchoNet brought into the ecosystem to help test governance in its early stages, before it went live. I have no doubt that there is no better person and team to execute this proposal.

Hey Cardano! Our Strategy2030 requires a network capable of 27M transactions per month. Ouroboros Leios is the engine that delivers it. 🚀 In the last year, we successfully moved Leios from paper to a prototype implementation. We are about to hit a major milestone: The dedicated Leios testnet launches this June! Our new proposal (₳27.7M) is the bridge to a production-ready Release Candidate. We are seeking funding now to ensure **zero gaps** in momentum as we head toward the Dijkstra era hardfork inititation in November 2026. Why this is the priority: 🔹 Scale: A 10x–65x throughput leap to meet 2030 ambitions. 🔹 Efficiency: 86% of the budget goes to direct engineering delivery. 🔹 Transparency: We've been shipping every month. See our progress in the reviews below. DReps & Community: Voting is open until May 24. Help us keep the momentum alive as we transition from testnet to mainnet readiness! 🗳️ Full Proposal: momentum.cardano.iog.io Leios Monthly Reviews: leios.cardano-scaling.org/docs/monthly-r… Roadmap: leios.cardano-scaling.org/docs/roadmap CIP Design: github.com/cardano-scalin… Stay tuned—@ch1bo and I are hosting an X Space soon to walk you through the plan and answer your quesitons. #Cardano #Leios #Ouroboros #CardanoGovernance @IOGroup

We’re starting to see something shift. Over 200 companies in Germany are reportedly running on Agentic AI secured by Cardano, without even realizing it. Source: x.com/angrycryptosho… ADA is now accepted across 137+ SPAR supermarkets in Switzerland. Source: finance.yahoo.com/news/cardanos-… Leios is around the corner, unlocking throughput that positions Cardano to scale to real world demand. This isn’t theory anymore. This is traction. Cardano has quietly become one of the most mature ecosystems in the industry: - A governance model no other chain has - One of the largest treasuries in crypto - A deeply committed, global community - Growing enterprise and even nation level engagement Yes, governance can look messy. That is what open systems look like. Do not get lost in the noise. Zoom out. The signal is strong. We are seeing increasing recognition through education, adoption, and real conversations. Just this past weekend, I was asked by a local government in Kenya about training people in blockchain. That is not hype. That is demand forming. Now comes the real challenge: Who maintains these relationships? Who guides these enterprises? Who helps them understand what is possible and how to integrate it into their existing systems? Because adoption does not sustain itself. We are at a unique moment. And it requires a shift in mindset. As an ecosystem, we need to start showing up differently: - Highlight what is working - Showcase real use cases - Demonstrate professionalism and readiness - Make it clear we are serious partners, not just participants Success attracts success. The more we show real progress, the more enterprises, institutions, and governments will take notice. Not because of noise or narratives, but because they are actively looking for credible ecosystems to build with. And make no mistake. That credibility is earned collectively. Not by one person. Not by one company. Not by one entity. By all of us. Time for a mindset change! === Ohh and by the way did you hear about the 100 Million usd worth of RWA already on Cardano? If not, chat with @Padierfind. I just heard him mentioned it in this space. x.com/phil_uplc/stat… Anyways, wishing you all a wonderful evening/night.
