BARKING NEWS: The SEC just classified meme coins as Digital Collectibles. Not securities. HOSKY has been legally correct about being worthless the whole time.

Breaking News Cardano (ADA) has now been formally detailed by the SEC as a digital commodity, not a security today. It is written directly into the Commission’s latest interpretive release. (Released Today) A digital commodity is an asset that derives its value from the programmatic operation of a functional crypto system, not from the expectation of profits driven by the efforts of others. ADA is listed alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum under that classification.

wallet signatures prove key control
both are useful 
neither prove the human creator bitcoin can prove that an artifact exists
when it existed
and how it is linked to other artifacts but authorship is a different question authorship is human
and humans do not live natively inside protocol rules that part has always been social 
reputation
context
continuity
recognition
trust so when people act like parent-child and wallet history fully solve provenance 
they’re overstating what the chain can actually prove those systems can prove structure
they can prove linkage
they can prove custody they cannot fully prove the maker that’s why I anchor the human story to the work itself not just to a wallet
not just to an indexer
not just to a marketplace view because the closest thing to real provenance on bitcoin is not only proving that the work exists it is tying the existence of the work back to the human who made it

as an artist, I’m not rushing into gallery structures or parent/child frameworks right now on ordinals the tools and conventions around ordinals are still evolving, and the “rules” seem to shift every few months I want the structure of the work itself to outlive whatever temporary systems or protocols are built around it for that reason, I’d rather wait until the landscape stabilizes and there’s long-term clarity before committing my work to a rigid framework the art should be permanent the frameworks around it still need time to prove they are
