Here's my mini review of AC BF Resynced. Once again thanks to Ubisoft and the AC Com Team for the game. AC Black Flag Resynced is an incredible remake of an already amazing game. + Gorgeous graphics + Engaging Combat & Fluid Parkour + Naval combat is fun as ever + New character endings & naval officers quests are decent additions to the game. The story mission modifications are well done for most missions. - Modern day is treated as side content. While the rifts are cool and the MD premise has potential, the narrative execution sucks - Edward felt a bit out of character in the end game storyline - No hidden blade or unarmed combat (outside of few select missions) - No mission replayability Minor nitpicks - Some new story cutscenes are not mo-capped - Ruggiero isn't voiced by Roger Craig Smith - No eels underwater - Photo mode lacks options included in AC Shadows Overall it's the same old Black Flag (minus the old modern day) with upgraded graphics, combat and mission changes and new storyline additions. Whether you are playing for the first time or an old school fan, you'll enjoy your time in the Caribbean. I have around 50 hours in the game and it's well optimized on PC (RTX 5060 laptop)

My thoughts on Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: 🟢 Loved: ✅ Exploration is better than ever. I kept finding little stories, hidden locations and reasons to get distracted. ✅ The new story content fits surprisingly well, and the endgame chapter feels like a real epilogue. ✅ The Caribbean feels more alive, more dynamic, and more rewarding to explore. ✅ Plenty of smart QoL additions that I hope become series standards. 🟡 Mixed: ⚠️ Parkour is still one of the best in modern Assassin's Creed... but compared to the original Black Flag, it doesn't flow as well. ⚠️ Combat has more depth, but I still miss the freedom, animation variety, and classic mechanics from the original. 🔴 Didn't like: ❌ No Mission Replay or New Game+ ❌ Simplified tailing missions. ❌ Camera cuts during double assassinations. ❌ Some animation and presentation downgrades. 🏴‍☠️ Final verdict: Ubisoft respected one of its greatest games, even if it didn't always understand every little detail that made the original so special. 🟢 If you've never played Black Flag, this is absolutely the version I'd recommend. 🟡 If you're a longtime fan, it's a little more complicated. Some things were genuinely better in 2013, but the amount of meaningful new content and improvements made me want to keep playing this version instead. It doesn't replace the original in every way. ⚓ But it absolutely justifies bringing Black Flag back.
