@chrislintott What’s better than a mission to Jupiter? A mission to its moons 😃😃

@bbcweather You mean hurricane force winds aren’t about to blast Oxfordshire? That’s good 😊 (Thinking of those that this is very much untrue for).

So proud to have worked on the new amazing BBC series on the Solar System. I don't think I've made the credits before :-) If you're in the UK then the whole series is now on iPlayer (~55 mins into the Ice World episode is where it gets really good 🤣) bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…

🤩 One last look at #EuropaClipper as the payload fairings close! The spacecraft will be on a nearly 6-year journey to investigate if there are habitable conditions on Jupiter’s moon Europa. Liftoff is targeted for Oct. 10 on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy!🚀 blogs.nasa.gov/europaclipper/

With vague apologies for the self-promotion: some filming I did earlier in the year is coming out. It's in different formats in the UK and US. I'm more in the US one, and mainly in the Ice Worlds episode. They're all awesome though! bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0j… pbs.org/wgbh/nova/seri…

@DoEfc @chrislintott Even understanding what the surface looks like in detail will be awesome. Is it like a small near earth asteroid, or like a large main belt one? We don’t know! 😃

@chrislintott What sort of results are we expecting from the is mission? (I know that’s generic and broad but would be interested to know what we’re looking for/chances of getting same.)

This flyby is about 4.30 UK time today, I think, though it’ll take a day or two for the data and images to reach the ground.

Today @LucyMission flies by it’s first asteroid target, the intriguing main belt asteroid Dinkinesh. I’m so excited, I was lucky enough to have been involved in this mission since early in the process and it’s been amazing to see it through launch and now onto a target. Go Lucy!

Well that's definitely the most memorable introduction I've ever had on a TV news channel. Warning: bad language.

Robert Herrick—Direct evidence for volcanic activity on Venus! The team looked through all locations on Venus where Magellan acquired repeat radar images, and found what appears to be a caldera collapse and new lava flow forming in 1991. We need to go back to Venus! #LPSC2023
