Journalism around the world is under threat from a growing number of authoritarian leaders who have no interest in being held to account for their actions. @sinnfeinireland have no interest in accountability. They never had. They borrow from the playbook of dictators and fascists when they seek to silence, threaten and put pressure on “inconvenient journalists” with lawsuits, threats, or commitments to “review their objectivity”. The media must be free and fair and hold those in power to account. Sinn Fein struggle with that basic concept. Their manifesto should ring alarm bells for every right minded democrat.
