@Breegemw @GarNob Classroom was being used as an art room. Re staffing, its very clear that recruitment practices need to change. The Irish requirement for example is ridiculous when most sen kids are exempt. Teachers only taking up sen position to get full-time position is unethical.

@Breegemw @TerenceR78 @GarNob We have met several principals and parents who experience the exact opposite of what you're saying. Schools are saying they're full when they're not. And cherry picking. Just because you are not aware doesn't mean it's not happening.

@patricej36 @rodericogorman And don't forget the allegations of abuse in schools on sen children and no one investigating, tusla telling families they're a child and family agency only and they only investigate if the abuse is in the family.

If @rodericogorman was doing a good job would he receive any abuse? This man is responsible for the state the country is in with mass immigration. He has created a two tier system where anyone can come into this country and get preferential treatment while the Irish people are being ignored. He is the worst children's minister this country has ever had. Where are the missing children? Where is the inquest into the grooming gangs targeting children in state care? Who are these men? Why did he delete files relating to children in care? Why are children dying that are known to Tusla? Where is the safe guarding? What about the child trafficking happening? Never forget a child was trafficked in for human organ harvesting. The list is endless of his failings!!

My daughter Caitlin deserves so much more than this. I will keep retweeting because she can’t and if she cant fight everyday I will fight for her. I always believed in justice, but I have learned not everyone does the right thing. Those that do are priceless. @TomClonan

Our heartfelt thanks to @MichelleGuy4 who took to the chambers this week to express her concern on the ambiguous stance from our new Education Minister on the harmful practices of restraint and seclusion in our schools. #HarrysLaw

Not a good day for special schools. Imagine dropping children from special schools at a Garda station, parents must be at home to meet their kids but what happens in an emergency??

Unless systemic changes are made that include Education, Health and Social Care our children and families will continue to suffer. #SEND #autism #ADHD #adoption

While item speaks to the UK it is very similar in ireland - acknowledging there is a problem is a key first step - the child first policy is broken - good on paper but reality for many parents who raise issues is that they&their child are seen as ‘the problem’ @GarNob @irl_open

@tusla @into @NormaFoleyTD1 @OCO_ireland @irl_open @SimonHarrisTD @AsIAmIreland @AnneRabbitte Seeing as you don't acknowledge emails @rodericogorman can you tell us why tusla are telling our parents they are a child and family agency only and don't investigate abuse in schools?

In just a few hours, we’ll finally have a sense of vindication. It’s been a long time coming, with over half of Harry’s life spent fighting a broken system. We’re grateful to @NIPSO_Comms for conducting a thorough investigation into the misuse of restraint on our little boy.

@tusla @into @NormaFoleyTD1 What about not only communicating but actually doing your job and investigating reports of abuse of children in schools by staff and stop fobbing everyone off . Protect our children by removing abusers from having access to vulnerable children.

It’s a sad day when a security hut and a bike shed and idiotic pouches for mobiles are considered to be of better financial value than tracking and highlighting data in child protection irishtimes.com/crime-law/cour…
