This team! I fought hard to make hazard mitigation a core function of @PhilaOEM, including $ to support staff. Here they are, killing it! @egiardina_ you rule! Philly residents deserve a plan that works for ALL of them! TY @DVRPC for hosting & @FEMAregion3 are the best partners!

OEM's Hazard Mitigation team (Emma + Noah) did a GREAT job organizing today's agenda + participants. Several discussions around equity + inclusion as well as celebrating over $26million of potential projects. The work is tedious - we're lucky to have such a passionate team!

To our @PhilaOEM team, tonight’s game was a heartbreaker, but you all put so many hard-worked hours into helping our City prepare for a safe night. Bravo to you all! Now get some rest and see you later this week at the hot wash 😉

This plan update kicked off in Feb 2020. Despite the global pandemic that followed, our interagency steering committee and planning partners persevered and produced an updated plan grounded in equity and focused on climate impacts.

Appreciate our partners from the National Weather Service who stopped by to discuss the forecast and response to Hurricane Ida. NWS staff traded insight with our Regional Integration Center and Infrastructure divisions so we have a better understanding during future storms.
