OEM's Hazard Mitigation team (Emma + Noah) did a GREAT job organizing today's agenda + participants. Several discussions around equity + inclusion as well as celebrating over $26million of potential projects. The work is tedious - we're lucky to have such a passionate team!

This plan update kicked off in Feb 2020. Despite the global pandemic that followed, our interagency steering committee and planning partners persevered and produced an updated plan grounded in equity and focused on climate impacts.

Appreciate our partners from the National Weather Service who stopped by to discuss the forecast and response to Hurricane Ida. NWS staff traded insight with our Regional Integration Center and Infrastructure divisions so we have a better understanding during future storms.
