@andynwoodard @BasedMikeLee The Founders knew times would change, which is precisely why they allowed future amendments. The Electoral College is different. Nothing has changed. Large population centers should not decide every presidential election. We are a country of states, not one empire.

(1) Donald Trump won both the electoral college AND the popular vote—so if we did as Pete Buttigieg suggests, Trump would still be president. (2) If you don’t like the electoral college, you don’t like the Constitution.

@SouthieGirl06 @BasedMikeLee Our founders thought that congress, not the people, should elect the president. They also believed women shouldn’t vote and African Americans counted for 3/5ths of a person. “Liking” the Constitution means understanding it can change.

The country has a long history of defending itself from threats to the president. They are taken very seriously; Comey knows this which makes his “joke” not just tasteless but prosecutable and he knows it. Threats to the president aren’t a job king matter and if you’d pull your head out of your ass as an American not a man you hates the president of the United States then you’d understand and keep your brain dead mouth shut!

Comey? Self-surrenders at a federal courthouse, 10-minute hearing, walks right out with zero conditions, no detention, and no mugshot. Protected class perks all the way. This is the textbook definition of two-tiered justice: 🔸Trump: Maximum humiliation and process. 🔸Comey (and the rest of the DC swamp): Red carpet and kid gloves.
