@LIVGroup continue to chase residents for their service charge+fees &threatening demands. Even tho they’ve sold up, moved out & haven’t been legal owners since well before their next set of service charge. Everything we’d expect from a ‘managing’ agent. Useless @michaelgove

We have well and truly entered the bill stage of the cladding scandal. For years, leaseholders lived with the threat of huge bills, now they are seeing these fall through their letterboxes. Unless there is swift action, the next stage is inevitably bankruptcies and repossessions

Latest cladding update: a bill for £101k. @michaelgove are you planning on sorting this anytime soon? #EndOurCladdingScandal #BuildingSafetyCrisis

A govt spokesman said:"Our £5 billion investment to remove unsafe cladding strikes the right balance between protecting leaseholders and being fair to taxpayer" I'm losing £40,000. Is that the right balance? Others are losing £200,000. #CrockOfShit

🤯 This is a shocking letter from @homes4haringey @haringeycouncil On what planet do you think it's possible for the average Londoner to find £108,000 to pay a service charge bill within 30 days?
Noel Park Leaseholders' Action Group@NPLeaseholders

Could you magic up £108,500 within a month? That's what @homes4haringey still expects some of us to do, to pay for work it should have done decades ago. So much for listening to residents' concerns! #LeaseholdScandal

A record number of households benefited from Help to Buy equity loans last year including Holly who was able to buy her home in Poole with the scheme. We are getting more and more first time buyers on the housing ladder. #OwnYourHome

@city_fitty Same but who will buy without leasehold reform, or rather who will buy at a fair market price when the market is flooded with all the flats we’re so desperate to shift 🤷🏻‍♀️

So *assuming* (and that’s a huge one I know) that we eventually get the remediation done:paid for - who would actually stay in their flat? I loved my flat but I’m getting out of leasehold as fast as poss and never going back, even if I have to rent tbh #BuildingSafetyCrisis

Stop using the term 'repairs' Repairs falls under the guise of maintenance, which LHs cover as per lease Our buildings haven't deteriorated They should never have been built as they have! It's 'remedial work' & should fall under building safety; usually FHs responsibility

There will be a long legal battle over who is responsible for the cladding faults and in the meantime Flat owners need immediate support... Govt support then reclaim from those culpable. #bbcqt

This is exactly what leaseholders are worried about. “Unaffordable”?! As far as my constituents are concerned they’ve already had to make payments for waking watches and insurance bills that they can’t afford. They shouldn’t have to pay a penny more.

Sir Keir raises the case of a doctor with a £52,000 bill due to cladding concerns, and asks when action will be taken Mr Johnson says leaseholders should not "have to pay for the unaffordable costs" of defects they didn't cause #PMQs latest: trib.al/rIhNKjq
