Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

I love this. 👇 To the person who wrote this, thank you for sharing what so many of us think of our President.♥️🇺🇸 Mr. President, ⠀ I don’t know if you’ll ever read this. Probably not. But I’m writing it anyway because my wife and I talk about this all the time, and somebody needs to say it out loud. ⠀ We can’t wait for the day you’re no longer President. ⠀ Not because we’re tired of you. The opposite. Because you deserve to go home. You deserve quiet mornings. You deserve to sit on your own porch without the weight of 330 million people sitting on your shoulders. You deserve your family back. You deserve peace. ⠀ You didn’t have to do any of this. ⠀ You had the money. You had the name. You had the life most men only dream about. You could’ve spent the rest of your days golfing, traveling, watching your grandkids grow up. ⠀ Instead you stepped into a fire that nearly cost you everything. ⠀ They mocked you. They sued you. They raided your home. They tried to bankrupt you. They tried to lock you up. They dragged your wife and kids through the mud. They put a bullet through your ear and you got up with your fist in the air and kept going. ⠀ For what? ⠀ For us. Regular people. Truck drivers. Welders. Waitresses. Roughnecks. Farmers. Single moms working two jobs. Grandparents on a fixed income watching the country they built get handed away. ⠀ You didn’t owe us a thing. And you gave us everything. ⠀ You risked your name. Your legacy. Your safety. Your family’s safety. Your brand. Your freedom. All of it. So this country could have one more shot at being what it was supposed to be. ⠀ And the truth nobody wants to admit? ⠀ We didn’t deserve a President like you. ⠀ A nation this divided, this ungrateful, this asleep at the wheel didn’t earn a man willing to bleed for it. But God sent you anyway. And I’ll thank Him for that until the day I die. 🙏 ⠀ So when the day finally comes that you walk away from that desk, I hope you sleep good. I hope your wife laughs again without looking over her shoulder. I hope your kids breathe easy. I hope you golf till the sun goes down and nobody bothers you for nothing. ⠀ You earned every bit of it. ⠀ Thank you, Mr. President. From a truck driver in Texas who prays for you often. ⠀ God bless you. God bless your family. And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸

NEW: Norah O'Donnell plays dumb as Trump tears into her after she brought up how the shooting suspect called him a “r*pist” in his manifesto. O'Donnell: “He also wrote this: ‘I'm no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor…’” Trump: “I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would, because you're horrible people. Horrible people.” O'Donnell: “Oh, do you think he was referring to you?” Trump: “Excuse me, excuse me… You read that crap from some sick person…”

A Daily Beast editor had the hotel room next door to the alleged WHCD attacker. “How on earth could someone with a disassembled long gun check into a room at a hotel where the president was going to speak? I can answer that: Nobody even looked at my luggage on Friday afternoon. Worse, my colleague arrived on Saturday at 5 p.m. Nobody looked at his luggage either: No magnometers, no hand checks, no I.D. checks. Nothing.” thedailybeast.com/i-slept-next-t…

@amuse The TX Blue Plan is “owned” by HCSC. HCSC’s CEO was (maybe) a DEI hire at the height of DEI? He makes an absurd amount of $…$38M in 2025? He’s now also the Board Chairman of HCSC? The retired board president, groomed him?, a black executive retired from Halliburton. Bad place?

RANT UPDATE: Last week I shared my frustration with Blue Cross Blue Shield regarding a heart scan. It was going to take 30-60-90 days to get approved. Today I got a letter informing me my scan was approved. Thanks to everyone who reached out to BCBS on my behalf. All I’ll say is that it pays to have RFK Jr as a follower. 🙏

RANT: So I pay $1700 a month for Blue Cross insurance for myself and my daughter. My cardiologist is worried about this massive clot in my heart and scheduled a scan but I have to get another doctor that I have never met to approve it. He can't meet with me for six months. The way we pay for healthcare is broken.

There have now been 3 assassination attempts against President Trump and multiple breeches of his security perimeter—how and why does this keep happening? Dismissing it as sheer incompetence can only explain so much. The purpose of any system is what it does. We need to be asking: what is the purpose of this system?

Serious issues already abound. 1. Failure to physically intervene: Why did Secret Service agents not tackle or neutralize the suspect when he came within inches of multiple agents? Video indicates they had sufficient time to draw firearms. Physical intervention would have been faster and potentially less dangerous to bystanders. 2. Use-of-force inconsistency: As reported by @JackPosobiec, D.C. police chief stated the suspect was not struck by Secret Service gunfire. 3. Inadequate perimeter security: Multiple reporters confirm that entry screening and perimeter control were insufficient. This represents a fundamental breakdown in advance security planning and crowd control. 4. Improper executive evacuation order: POTUS was evacuated after VPOTUS. This violates basic continuity-of-government priorities and raises serious concerns about command sequencing during crisis response. 5. Unsecured staging area for attacker: Reports indicate the suspect assembled a weapon in an unsecured room prior to rushing the ballroom. This is a critical failure in site lockdown procedures and pre-event sweeps. 6. Breakdown in advance intelligence and threat assessment: What pre-event intelligence screening was conducted? Were there any warning indicators missed or ignored? 7. Credentialing and access control failure: How did the suspect gain proximity to restricted areas? Was there a failure in badge verification or checkpoint enforcement? 8. Layered security (defense-in-depth): Were there secondary and tertiary barriers? A single point of failure should never allow direct access to protectees. This was a systemic breakdown across planning, access control, agent response, and command execution. Each layer that should have stopped the threat failed in sequence. After repeated security failures and assassination attempts on our President @realDonaldTrump, he should invoke Article II, Section 3 and convene Congress immediately to call an emergency session and demand action on urgent national security failures. Congress must investigate, hold agencies accountable, and pass reforms to fix these breakdowns now before it's too late. This is unacceptable.

I'm not overlooking anything. WHAT DID I ACTUALLY FUCKING SAY THAT YOU IGNORED? 1. Trump didn't kill Charlie. 2. Erika didn't kill Charlie. 3. But some people, who now NO LONGER HIDE that they have always been VERY VERY VIRULENTLY ANTI-TRUMP, have been saying for WEEKS that Trump helped Erika's wife kill him so Trump could take us to war with Iran for Israel. STICK TO WHAT I ACTUALLY FUCKING SAID. The **narrative** these people have been babbling for weeks is FUCKING VILE. Like, really VILE now. Real evil shit. And the main propagator of this narrative, happily babbling it on her podcast for more than 6 weeks now, suddenly took an UNANNOUCED VACTION to Rome right after the SPLC indictment was unsealed. I'm a great communicator. I make my points very clearly. Don't do that again.

Hunter is a friend. I like Hunter. He was one of the few in the Biden administration who reached across the aisle. So let me ask @DanLamothe plainly: why would Biden’s naval strategist have any special insight into why Trump fired SECNAV John Phelan? Why even interview him? He doesn’t. He was let go by Phelan early in this administration. Hunter’s theory is that Trump canned Phelan because Phelan floated the idea that some Navy ships might be built overseas. That’s a guess built on a single line buried in a long speech. And it’s wrong. We are already building military ships in Europe right now. USCG icebreakers. Trump hasn’t said a word about it. Hunter is entitled to guess. The problem is that Politico, the New York Times, and half the defense press copied the line verbatim, and now it’s hardening into THE narrative. Meanwhile, Trump was asked directly why he fired his SECNAV. His answer: infighting. Was the infighting about where ships get built? I don’t know. Neither does Hunter. Neither does Lamothe. This is exactly why so many on the right can’t stand Lamothe. Question for you all: Which is worse, journalists who launder anonymous sources into fact, or journalists who use obviously partisan sources straight out of the previous administration? Either way, the entire Beltway narrative is now being built on one comment Hunter made in an interview about one comment Phelan made in a speech Trump almost certainly never watched. And, even worse, it’s being cemented by conservative media who are platforming “conservative” Rear Admiral Mark Montgomery who is on the record calling for @USNavyCNO to “rope-a-dope” President Trump. Truth is: Phelan has been on notice for months for not moving fast enough on shipbuilding. Building overseas was one option to speed things up. So maybe, if I’m being overly charitable, Hunter may be tangentially right. But ALL these news outlets parroting it as the primary reason is nonsense.

Hunter Stires@HunterStires

Thanks to @DanLamothe for including my perspective in his coverage of SECNAV Phelan’s ouster for the @washingtonpost: “Hunter Stires, who served as maritime strategist to Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro during the Biden administration, said that Phelan committed a ‘grave strategic as well as political error’ this week by signaling his openness to outsourcing production of the Navy’s warships to shipyards abroad.

“‘Everything’s on the table,’ Phelan said during an appearance at the Sea-Air-Space conference outside Washington, according to the Navy Times. ‘We just need to look at it, understand it, understand the implications behind it and decide if we think that makes sense or not.’
“Stires said the comments ‘directly undercut’ a bipartisan strategy for shipbuilding championed by the Trump administration that aims to incentivize shipbuilders to invest in modernizing and expanding U.S. shipyards. Phelan’s exit, Stires said, ‘should be read as a stark and welcome signal that outsourcing U.S. naval construction is and must remain a nonstarter.’” wapo.st/4mLnlEt
