I'm disappointed to see the latest right-wing civil war devolve to the point that people are calumniating @ISI and @JohnnyBurtka (of all people!) as somehow subversive or outside the bounds of conservatism. ISI under Johnny's leadership has not only continued but grown in its position as an invaluable intellectual resource and incubator of talent on the Right. Over just the last year or so, I've had the privilege of speaking at several ISI events, including a lecture on Dante for their honors program. The perennial and necessary task of delineating the boundaries of the conservative coalition has predictably degraded into opportunistic factional in-fighting. But if the serious intellectual environment cultivated by Johnny and ISI has no home on the Right, then there's no coherent Right of which to speak.

President Trump and his administration are laser-focused on slashing housing costs for young Americans, and every Republican in office must join this critical fight. My generation deserves to stake their claim in the American Dream, owning a piece of this great nation shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the elite.

What matters to me is that it won't cost my kids and grandkids $250k+ in annual income to live in a high-trust community and that our leaders won't send them to fight in some stupid foreign war. I don't care about your conservative moral pieties if they can't create social trust and peace. Your principles have been destructive.
