A recent release by the Congressional Research Service detailed the lost and damaged aircraft during Operation Epic Fury against Iran.
👍@prestonstew_ for the heads up.
Damaged and destroyed U.S. aircraft:
- 4 F-15E Strike Eagle fighter aircraft. 3 were lost to friendly fire over Kuwait and 1 during combat operations over Iran.
- 1 F-35A Lightning II fighter aircraft. Damaged due to Iranian ground fire but returned to base safely.
- 1 A-10 Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft. Downed during CSAR operations for the pilot and WSO of the downed F-15E.
- 7 KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft. 2 KC-135s were involved in a mid-air incident over Iraqi airspace, resulting in 1 crashing, while the other was damaged and safely returned to base. 6 aircrew were killed in the incident.
- 1 E-3 Sentry airborne early warning-and-control system aircraft (AWACS). Reported damaged at Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Airbase following an Iranian ballistic missile attack. However, subsequent commercial satellite taskings and reported photos of the aircraft indicate it is a total loss.
- 2 MC-130J Commando II special operations aircraft. Both were intentionally destroyed on the ground in Iran during CSAR operations to recover the pilot and WSO of the downed F-15E.
- 1 HH-60W Jolly Green II combat search-and-rescue helicopter. Sustained damage from small arms fire during CSAR operations to recover the pilot and WSO of the downed F-15E.
- 24 MQ-9 Reaper medium-altitude long-endurance uncrewed aircraft were lost during the entirety of combat operations against Iran.
- 1 MQ-4C Triton high-altitude long-endurance uncrewed aircraft crashed in a yet unspecified mishap.
In total, 42 aircraft, the majority of them MQ-9 Predators, were damaged or lost during Operation Epic Fury.
@sentdefender Honestly this sounds way too logical and plausible for this admin to be the real reason. Might it be a helipad with a secondary ballroom underneath by any chance?
As President Trump’s latest wave of major historic renovations to the White House continue, the Wall Street Journal reports that the president has recently discussed plans to install a helipad on the grounds of the White House. According to officials, the helipad is needed in order to prevent the VH-92A Patriot, the powerful new presidential helicopter produced by Lockheed Martin that is meant to replace the aging fleet of VH-3D Sea Kings currently used as Marine One, from causing serious damage to the grass on the White House’s South Lawn.
In addition to at least one F-4E Phantom II, an Iranian MiG-29B was also pictured flying over Tehran today during the arrival of Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who arrived Wednesday in Iran prior to continued peace talks this upcoming weekend in Islamabad.
@shitpost_2077 Nu uh, all wrong. You obviously put your Wifi-extender in, so you don't need a hose across the entire yard. Pretty handy extension that way. And yeah, on the other end you need another wifi-extender and the mouse for the sprinkling, that's right.
Following U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s announcement that the U.S. intends to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, a senior U.S. official has told Axios that they plan to take the initiative gained by Iran’s closure of the strait away from them by imposing the U.S. blockade.
🚨HOLY CRAP!!!!
A woman at the No Kings protest in Nashville just FLIPPED OFF A MILITARY HELICOPTER that flew overhead...
I don't care what side of the isle you are on, if you are flipping the bird to our troops, YOU are the bad guy here.
Completely disgusting behavior...
I opposed Trump's war against Iran. There was no imminent threat to the US. All other means of achieving US objectives were not exhausted. He did not consult with Congress.
But if Trump's war produces democracy in Iran, permanent nuclear and missile disarmament & the end of support for terrorists forever, I will praise him.
since you started your account on aug 2021, you've tweeted 490,800 times. that's about 291 times per day, or roughly 18 tweets per hour (assuming you sleep for 8 hours), every day for almost five years. the reason why you don't see this america anymore is bc you don't go outside
Satellite imagery from Vantor has now confirmed earlier reports of an “aircraft massacre” at Khatami Air Base (8th Tactical Air Base), located northeast of Isfahan, Iran, following strikes against the base this past week by the Israeli Air Force. According to imagery, both before and after, roughly a dozen aircraft with Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force were targeted and destroyed, including several F-14 Tomcats and other fighter/strike aircraft, in addition to a number of hardened aircraft shelters that were penetrated and destroyed using “Bunker Busters” by Israel and/or the United States.

@TheMaineWonk Anyone else remember that one meeting between Trump and Zelensky, when Trump delightedly noted that there was no elections during war time?
@JuergenZimmerer Besonders interessant an dieser Causa, alle drei Buchhändler werben auf ihren Homepages mit der Förderung durch Weimers Büro. Es gab also schon Beziehungen zueinander.

President Trump will not get the United States into a years-long conflict with no clear objective.
Iran can never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. That is the goal of this operation and President Trump will see it through to completion.
@RapidResponse47 So the stockpile is full, but the stockpile is empty because everything was given away but luckily he filled them again before that happened? Fascinating. Forever wars are highly popular too I hear...
This is actually insane. 🤯
