5: This is one of my new favorite books
4: I would include this book on a list for anyone who asks for a book recommendation
3: I would recommend this book, but it would come with heavy caveats
2: I wouldn’t recommend reading, but I didn’t regret having spent time with it
1: I regretted reading this

Idk about MN where Pete’s from but here in WI, we often brag about how cheap we were able to get something for. Seriously, when complemented on something we’ll say thanks, got it off eBay or at garage sale for $5 or whatever the case is.
If Pete’s wife if from Upper Midwest, definitely could see this be the case. Spending big money on something like a dress is stupid, good for her!

@xwanyex I spent years working in healthcare in MN (Land of 10,000 Frauds), and the amount of people I encountered who got on fully government funded Medical Assistance and then made it their life’s work to use it for every conceivable medical complaint would make heads spin.

There is *no conceivable system of healthcare funding* that does not involve the denial of claims. You cannot infinitely spend on an individual level. You cannot institute a system in which a third party blindly covers whatever any doctor in the system prescribes.
What leftists say about this topic is ridiculous on even the most basic level.

@harveyspistols Mossflower was my introduction to the Redwall series. I still remember the feeling of reading it for the first time as a child. Enchanting, but packed with action and storyline, just what I was craving as a young reader. These books should be so much more popular than they are.
