If taxes were fair: You earn $100,000 per year and pay $30,000 in tax. Your neighbor earns $1,000,000 and pays $300,000 in tax. Your neighbor is paying 10X more than you. If taxes were fair, you should both pay $30,000, since you both receive the same government services.

Dave Ramsey reveals 48% of Americans paid ZERO federal income tax last year, while the top 10% paid almost 90% of the total taxes. 🤯 Dave: “I do know that 48% of Americans paid zero federal income tax last year.” Graham Stephan: “The top 10% pays something like, I think it’s like 90-something percent of taxes. It’s a very high amount.”

Clean contrast. Same tool — loopholes.
Completely different intent. One fixes a system.
The other feeds off it.

Mamdani found a tax loophole and turned it into buses, schools, parks, and nearly $1 billion for New Yorkers. Trump finds loopholes and turns them into ballrooms, bailouts, and bills for everyone else. That’s the difference. One governs a city. The other monetizes a country.
CALL TO ACTIVISM@CalltoActivism

🚨HISTORIC: Mayor Mamdani officially calls for the reduction of the Pass-Through Entity Tax loophole from 100% to 75%. MAMDANI: “That change alone would generate nearly ONE BILLION DOLLARS of additional revenue - revenue we can invest in the buses that carry New Yorkers to work, the public schools that educate our children, the public parks and beaches where we spend our summers.” THIS IS WHAT LEADERSHIP LOOKS LIKE! LET’S GO!

You do not earn a billion dollars. You steal it. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a teacher, or a farmer. That money comes from underpaying the people who actually did the work. Stop worshipping hoarders who are just really good at wage theft.

My boomer uncle paid for college working summers at a gas station. $1,200 a semester. Graduated debt free. Bought a house at 24. Told my cousin last Christmas: “You kids just don’t want to work hard enough.” She works two jobs. Has $67,000 in student loans, for a state school. Here’s the math he won’t do: His gas station job in 1974 paid $2.10/hour. >Minimum wage today is $7.25. >Tuition has gone up 1,400%. >His wages went up 3x. >Her debt went up 14x. He didn’t work harder. The math just worked for him. It doesn’t work anymore.

Boomers worked hard. Nobody is disputing that. They also inherited an economy built by the Greatest Generation that priced homes fairly. Funded universities publicly. Protected workers legally. Taxed wealth progressively. Then spent 40 years voting to undo all of it. By the time Gen Z arrived the ladder was gone. They didn't pull it up. They sold it for parts.

@Caxe_Finley @Ludozzzzzzzzz @Jess_theRaccat @ArthShahverdyan Your argument was that it wasn’t natural. I’m showing you that it is natural. Idk why you’re shifting your argument to “just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s good”..if you can’t tell the difference between consensual pleasure and harmful mutilation, then you’re inept.

@StandUpForTrmp That's the problem, the people that pay get nothing. Gov't is meant for the bottom quintile and that's it. It doesn't help the actual people that fund it.

🚨 Do you understand what Iran's president just said to the American people.. let me translate the five things he actually said.. "Iran has no enmity toward the American people" we're not at war with you, we're at war with your government.. they're trying to split you from your president before he speaks in two hours.. "Recent US actions are aggression targeting civilians" we're the victims here.. everything we've done is self-defense.. this is Iran writing the history books before the war ends.. "The decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal was made by the US government" Trump tore up the deal in 2018 that was preventing this entire war.. Iran is reminding 330 million Americans of that tonight.. right before Trump speaks.. "Continuing confrontation is more costly and futile than ever before" this is not a peace offer.. we have capabilities you haven't seen yet.. escalate and find out.. and then the last line.. the one everyone will miss.. "Throughout its millennia of proud history, Iran has outlasted many aggressors." that's Iran telling America: empires have tried to break us before.. you're next in a very long line.. the ceasefire deal is on the table.. Trump speaks at 9 PM.. Iran just told you exactly what they want him to say..
The Kobeissi Letter@KobeissiLetter

BREAKING: Iran's President Pezeshkian has officially released an "open letter" to the American people. The letter states: 1. Iran harbors "no enmity" toward other nations, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries 2. Recent US actions are "aggression" targeting civilians and infrastructure, setting up for long-term global instability 3. "What Iran has done, and continues to do, is a measured response grounded in legitimate self-defense" 4. The decision to withdraw from the Iran Nuclear Deal was "made by the US government" 5. "Continuing along the path of confrontation is more costly and futile than ever before" Pezeshkian concludes by saying, "the choice between confrontation and engagement is both real and consequential. Throughout its millennia of proud history, Iran has outlasted many aggressors." We now await Trump's address to the US at 9 PM ET.
