It just keeps getting more damning and more damning as we go. @AuroraPD officers issued warrants and know the truth. @AuroraPD leadership has been lockstep trying to bury this. I'm just not sure why. The reason these men weren't identified as TdA is because @AuroraPD leadership told officers to stop confirming anyone as gang members. If no one is confirmed, there is no gang problem, ya see? The command staff responsible for this dereliction of duty is still in place in @AuroraPD. When this all comes out in court, and it will. NEW: @ICEgov tells me Denyeer Aramillo Meneses and Edison Pena Angulo arrested this week in #NewYorkCity during an onoing @HSI_HQ investigation ARE members of Venezuelan gang Tren De Aragua. They're now back in custody facing deportation. Another law enforcement sources confirms that these two men were captured on video, in the viral incident showing armed men trying to get inside an #Aurora Colorado apartment back in August of this year. ICE tells me they both entered the country illegally in 2023 near El Paso, Texas. Edison Pena Angulo was ordered to be deported in Feb 2024 after being arrested by officers in Westminster, Colorado -- but never was. Both men had active warrants for their arrest issued by @AuroraPD following the August apartment incident. The arrest of these two men here in NYC is significant because up until NOW -- none of the armed men captured on video at the Aurora apartment complex were confirmed TDA members. Now we know at least TWO men ARE indeed members of Tren de Aragua. How they got to NYC is unclear. #news #foxnews #TrenDeAragua
