@British_Airways That's perfectly understandable, what isn't is the reason given about HAVING to do this because of folk fighting on the plane! And no consideration given to those travelling beyond Heathrow who really could do with the contents of their cabin bag for the onward journey

@CeliaWiseman4 It sounds like she is on BA1341, which is 85% full today, so it’s busy. When flights are this full, some bags must be checked in to speed up boarding. If cabin bags have been checked, there will be space available in the overhead lockers. Anthony

@British_Airways my daughter was made to check in her cabin bag at Newcastle and told 'they have to take them off people because they were having too many delays from people fighting over overhead space' Really?? Ridiculous! Tried rearrange to backpack but missed some essentials.

@British_Airways Now she's boarded there's plenty of space for her cabin bag - the flight isn't even full. Is this a blanket ban by BA for cabin bags or just selective depending on the staff member?

@British_Airways That's not the reason she was given, they actually said "delays due to people fighting over the lockers' is that not true? She's now without her stuff all the way through to JFK, so annoying

@LNER The train they were advised to catch has just been cancelled. Now what?? They're at Kings Cross trying to get the students back to Newcastle

@CeliaWiseman4 We are hopeful services will be on the move soon. Tickets are valid from Newcastle to Leeds, then board a service from Leeds to Kings Cross. This is another option for them, Celia. Their tickets are valid, they do not need to change or amend them.

@LNER what's the likelihood of the 18:00 (delayed) train actually setting off? My son is with a group of students and their teachers returning to Newcastle from London and booked on that train. How can they get home?

@TPEassist It's the 08:01 NCL to LDS on Thursday 20th, returning same day, probably on the 15:08 train with the 15:51 as my contingency plan if I don't escape my meeting in time! I haven't booked the tickets until I know I can reserve seats

@sainsburys does my online account have a record of my purchases? I bought a blender with my groceries a few weeks ago, it has broken and I want to return it but I don't have the receipt.

@marksandspencer used my sparks card in your Newcastle café yesterday but my purchase isn't showing so my hot drinks haven't registered against the free cuppa offer 😔 we're there every Wednesday and were so pleased the café has reopened, staff doing a great job as always 😊
