So, Pope=Vicar of Christ, saying Pope would still be an authoritative title. That isnt an appeal to Authority because he is saying he agrees with Pope leo over trump. The appeal to authority fallacy would be true if he said I agree with Pope leo because he is Pope. That isnt what he said.
