@ms_yenu Opposition in 2028 will work. Since time immemorial what issue has traveled more than 3weeks in Ghana before. Not even woyome scandal under prez Mills. Opposition is beating drums for you and you're dancing to its tunes.
English

@MaameEsiGold That's because we are losing our power as a country. the more debt we have the more we are going to have to bow down to the Chinese.
English

Imagine this oohhh.… why will you take inflation from 14.2% to 54% in the first place. ? You printed 49 billion ghc, do you know what that did to Ghanaians? Over 850k people fell below the poverty line because of this. You’re here asking questions about bringing it down from 54% to 23 % maybe you shouldn’t have taken it up to 54% in the first place that would have been a wiser and smarter thing to do. !
What was the benefit of taking it up to 54%?
Wan Kay@KayMedia_
If Governor Addison spent 9.8 billion cedis to reduce inflation from 54% to 23%, and Governor Asiamah spent 35 billion cedis to reduce it from 23% to 3.3%, then how much would Asiamah need to spend to reduce inflation from 54% to 23% at his same rate of spending?
English

@MaameEsiGold @KayMedia_ You can't even trust the Chinese anymore they just have their own agenda here and it definitely doesn't involve caring about Ghanians. That's why they are willing to push us into such desperate situations
English

@IanECox @edzitron The issue with gold mining in Ghana is that most of it is illegal, which is why it is so detrimental to the environment. Galamsey is ruining the land that we have so that the Chinese can get richer. facebook.com/reel/143235147…
English

@MuteTheNoiss @Citi973 I mean I think we have to assume that most of the gold being mined in Ghana is stolen since so little has been done to stop galamsey
English

@Citi973 Big move for Ghana’s reserves, if Damang Gold Mine truly channels 100% of initial output to the Bank of Ghana, it’s a major step for strengthening national gold holdings.
English

Head of Communications at the Ghana Gold Board, Prince Minkah, says Damang Gold Mine’s decision to commit 100% of its initial gold output is a major boost to Ghana’s reserves.
The gold will be processed for the Bank of Ghana and added to national reserves, marking what he describes as a historic first for a large-scale mining firm.

@tv3_ghana Good maybe we will get more action against galamsey if we rebrand it as illegal small scale mining lol
English

The National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) has apprehended a foreman of an illegal small-scale mining site at Akyem Morso near Juaso in the Asante Akim South District of the Ashanti Region, following a targeted enforcement operation conducted along the Kume River across the lands of Morso, Kyekyebiase and Bimma.
The suspect, identified as Elder David Bobie Peter, disclosed during questioning that he is an Elder of The Church of Pentecost branch at Konongo.

@imamissaharthur We need to make sure that we are keeping Ghanians in charge of the sector that internationals are trying to exploit. We need to keep Ghanians in charge so that we can ensure that the sector stays Ghanian and that the resources stay ours
English

@AdrianFaiers @TomChivers Oil is becoming a curse instead of a bless in Ghana. We are losing control of our resources and its going to contribute to us becoming a colony
English

@TomChivers Maybe in the case of cocoa (particularly small suppliers in the likes of Ghana rather than big corporations in the Far East), but I had more in mind other commodities in the news like oil and the transnationals currently doing very nicely.
English

How can stuff like this get written? Imagine it for any other good! “Affordability is driving the chocolate price spike, not a cocoa bean shortage. We just need to designate some beans as special cheap beans to bring prices down” bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
English

@DrRafiqRaji This is because the Chinese are the ones doing all the smuggling. They are behind all of these issues. instagram.com/reel/DWPv6ptkn…

If you like get 10M monthly listeners, na the DJ wey don perform for Coachella be our No.1 😂
English

@SirKwekujay We need to make sure that these Ghanians in charge will actually do something about galamsey. So far all the foreigners are taking advantage of us. We don't need to import any more foreigners we need to hold ghanians accountable
English

@danielchuks1234 lol I hope this fortune will be used to help fix the falling fortunes of Ghanians due to galamsey
English

@mr_oseiii Finally some progress in the fight against galamsey!! I think we need to start targeting the Chinese companies who are the ones behind most of the galamsey. They are the ones who are taking advantage of us the most
English

@BigBoyWilf @Peringle1 @Mtukur66 @LaNRaY_SHeeRan @Oforiwaa_xo Maybe because we are desperate for Chinese products that we think will help us out of poverty...when in reality they are the ones keeping us in poverty
English

@JamesGNarh @iamMrMarfo1 They are simply doing the work that we as Ghanians are too scared to do. That is work like this that perpetuates the galamsey that is ruining the country
English

@iamMrMarfo1 The people creat the oppression to foreigners who come to Ghana that we are beggers. Leave the street too, they're refusing. Those in charge are doing their work and here you are complaining. What work again must the Immigration Service do? Farming or fishing if I may ask
English

@TyndaleJr @KwesiPriGH @_Fiifi_Sage @metrotvgh We should be holding the Chinese accountable too. They are the ones who keep falling for the trap of believing galamsey is a ghanaian issue and that they can commit it.
English

@KwesiPriGH @_Fiifi_Sage @metrotvgh You are proud of our polluted waters, I presume.
“Elders”, ok continue.
Whoever is involved should be held accountable, don’t chase clout with it.
Lastly, don’t overlook the fact that “an elder” is a Ghanaian.
Galamsey is done by humans, humans must solve it.
English

Just because the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost complained about the havoc Galamsey is causing, the government has intentionally done this and sent a caption across the media houses to report.
The Legacy Media is on the side of the oppressor! Shame on you @metrotvgh and @ghonetv. Shame on you!

@ogbonnatochuk20 @okoliecollins5 @UdokaOsuji @BBOjulari Ghana is going to be stuck in a pipeline like that forever. Right now we are stuck in a pipeline of being one of the biggest exporters of gold. We dont get any of the gold that is exported, it all gets stolen by the Chinese. facebook.com/reel/143235147…
English

@okoliecollins5 @UdokaOsuji @BBOjulari The West Africa gas pipeline that supplies gas to Benin,Togo, and Ghana runs through them. That pipeline is a huge money spinner for Nigeria, and most of the gas facilities in Nigeria (apart from NLNG) channel the majority of gas produced through that pipeline .

BIG ENERGY:
I am pleased to announce that NNPC Limited has successfully completed the River Niger crossing of the OB3 Gas Pipeline.
Executed 2km beneath the riverbed using advanced HDD technology, this milestone unlocks a transport capacity of 2 billion scf/day—strengthening Nigeria’s energy security, power generation, and industrial growth. It also builds on our AKK crossing success and reflects disciplined execution, innovative engineering, and the unwavering commitment of our team and partner, PCE Nig. Limited.
I thank Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his Gas-to-Prosperity agenda, our Board under Chairman Ahmadu Musa Kida, the host communities, and the resilient team at NGIC for their steadfast support and commitment.
The OB3 Pipeline links East to West and connects to the Northern corridor via the AKK Pipeline, unlocking over 500 million scf/day of domestic gas. The AKK will supply power plants, fertiliser, manufacturing, and new industries across Kaduna, Kano, and beyond, driving job creation, economic diversification, energy access, and West African exports.

@Tyspotlex @deylowkey247 problem is it's not even Ghanian gold anymore. Its galamsey.
English

@kelewele2cedis @mlnrgovgh @EPA_Ghana @GWCL_Gh These groups need to be going after the Chinese companies who are the ones behind the galamsey. We wouldn't have this issue if they weren't here.

What are these people doing? Galamsey needs to end!!
