An account operating under the name “Jimmy Virk” @JimmyVirkk widely believed to be a Pakistani national (reportedly Gul Jamas from Toba Tek Singh), currently based in Tehran and linked with an Iranian media outlet has been running a sustained, highly derogatory and inflammatory campaign against Pakistani state institutions. This campaign has crossed all limits. It is not limited to criticism; it includes deeply offensive language, personal attacks, and repeated targeting of senior Pakistani leadership, including Field Marshal Asim Munir. More concerning is the deliberate attempt to distort ongoing peace efforts by spreading misinformation and portraying hostility as if it reflects Iran’s official position. Such conduct raises serious and unavoidable questions: 1: Is this individual acting with any formal or informal backing from Iranian institutions? 2:Why is Iranian territory being used to run a coordinated hate campaign against Pakistan? 3:Does the Government of Iran endorse or tolerate narratives that undermine a sensitive peace process in the region? At a time when Pakistan is actively working toward de-escalation and regional stability, this kind of propaganda directly sabotages trust, fuels tensions, and damages bilateral relations.
