@angertab I would argue its not about removing their access to oil, but removing their ability to get oil at below market prices. With Iranian oil sanctioned, and most of the world trading in petrodollars, China now has to compete on the global market at market prices.

@Timcast What you fail to understand is what it is we are exporting…. it’s refined products.. jet fuel, gasoline, and diesel. And we export way too much of all of it which drives our inflation up. Especially on the diesel side.

You mean "cheap oil" imports. China was getting Iranian oil at below market prices because Iranian oil is sanctioned.....which helps balance cheap Chinese imports across the globe...because it levels out their energy costs in the manufacturing process of said goods.
