In situations like this, it makes little sense to force trades simply for the sake of being in the market: without a clear trigger or the presence of a genuinely significant ‘iceberg’, the risk is that you’ll be trading on noise rather than a genuine trend. Waiting for confirmation does not mean missing out on opportunities; it means avoiding random entries at a stage where the market is still deciding which way to release liquidity.

For this reason, if you want to keep things simple and objective, it makes sense to trade only on significant deviations and at levels that clearly invalidate a scenario.
In the middle of the range, you could also try switching to a shorter timeframe and looking for some scalping opportunities, but the risk increases significantly there: the market is noisy, less predictable, and it doesn’t take much to get stopped out without a clear direction.
