A top end 2005 PC would not be able to run 2016 games at all. The fact that a 2015 PC (Maxwell? Grenada? Fiji?) Can run some 2026 games on low is already scandalous.

I got a really good PC back in 2015 and although it still works fine there's a few things that it can't play.
It occurred to me that the ONLY reason I would upgrade this PC is for specific software

For someone like me who doesn't know and isn't inclined to learn, the only thing I notice is the end product. A majority of players turn off raytracing because they care more about the game playing smoothly than fancy lights.

Awesome game but by modern standards its unoptimized even if I play it at 240 fps locked

Of course you can do a lot in older engines too but its easier on new ones

It's obvious modern games aren't optimized. They can't even figure out thread scheduling properly, their chances of being close to the max performance the hardware can provide is essentially 0%.

@gerulis20 @Charcharo @GOGcom @4AGames No, I think they revamped areas in Redux, like the outdoor areas with the Reich soldiers. It just felt better, maybe the lack of loading screens.
