Makerere University School of Public Health, in partnership with the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Tree Adoption Uganda, and with funding from the Wellcome Trust, has launched the WIN-WIN project (Win-Win in the Wetlands for Climate). The project aims to assess the climate, health, social, and economic impacts of wetland restoration in urban Uganda and to develop and evaluate evidence-based conservation interventions, with a focus on how wetlands affect the health of surrounding communities, including diseases such as bilharzia and malaria. #MonitorUpdates 📹: @BuseinSamilu
