@123mc Thank you! Looks like the status-page's computation of downtime understates the impact? It shows a four-hour outage, but from initial alert to all-clear (as documented here by twitter-posts) was almost 21 hours?

@DrEricDing @DrTedros The smallpox vaccine covers monkeypox, as they are in the same family. It is likely that outbreaks are occurring in areas that were considered to have smallpox eradicated, and they no longer vaccinate.

Sometimes I’m asked to speak to scientists about using social media for scicomm and I used to focus on Twitter for that but now I don’t know what to say 😕
