@APnlove It's worse than that. It's a signal to the violent fringe that if the midterms are a blue wave, they will be both pardoned and rewarded for blocking democracy by storming the Capitol again. He's preparing coup attempt #2.

Proving once again that people who write about music hate music (or at least their readers). No one thinks Germfree Adolescents is a better album than London Calling or Never Mind The Bollocks. Pink Flag, Double Nickels, Dig Me Out are all great. Not even close to London Calling or Never Mind The Bollocks or even Nevermind, and I don't even like Nirvana (they expanded the "punk" category to include them.) That the album descriptions read like Wikipedia entries is a further insult to the readers. No mention of the origin of the name "Double Nickels on the Dime?" Only slight references to the actual music on the albums? Sad.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ramones’ toweringly influential self-titled debut, we’ve compiled a list of the 100 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time. FULL LIST: rollingstone.com/music/music-li…

We need more mavericks. Really smart people who don't fit into the standard right v. left division. If you remember Stewart Brand and his "Whole Earth Catalog," you are not young. He was often wrong but unique, creative and brilliant. He still is. reason.com/2026/05/16/a-n…

An important look at how the elite twist the truth via clever, high-priced reputation fixers. Pro tip: Don't think the top Google results are the real story. nytimes.com/2026/05/17/us/…

@gehrig38 @RepJackKimble I was in a bad mood until Curt Schilling's crude and stupid attempt to embarrass a fictional congressman. Now I'm grinning. Who's the assclown now, Curt?

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

I'm genuinely curious: if you could change anything about how New Hampshire operates at the state, county, or local government level, what would you change and why?

First 50-years of America 🇺🇸 From 1776 until mid-1820s, the Little Ice Age tested the mettle of farmers, but community resilience, trading, and adaptation helped the nascent republic endure. Then, the winter of 1827-28 arrived with extreme warmth that hasn't been surpassed.

@bond1j89 @ke0in @Ultra603 In our defense, we thought it was cow season in Maine. Isn't that the four weeks after your 11-month rifle season for highway signs?

@ke0in @Ultra603 It would not be a blessing in Maine. Maine And New Hampshire need to stay separate states. The fucking retards from New Hampshire keep shooting my fucking cows. Far too many have destroyed Maine's Farmlands and forests as well.

Stages of Greater New Hampshire denial: 2025: "Greater New Hampshire is just an internet meme. You will never do anything in real life." 2026: "Okay, 60% of your legislators voted to expand the state, but that doesn't mean anything." 2028: "You changed the duty stations on Seavey's Island, but it won't go beyond that." 2031: "New Hampshire has annexed the Portsmouth Harbor and Killington, but you won't invade and dissolve the entire state of Maine." 2037: "The Granite Republic's lithium exports will not overtake Australia."

@rcobooth Rachel, you're not wrong -- but you may be a bit arrogant. Your sources live in a transactional world, not a friendly village. Helping you may not help them. Don't expect non-journalists to honor our rules and goals.

it's not a quid pro quo. good journalism takes a village, powered by generous sources who believe in the mission of helping reporters communicate issues to the public. if that is not enough for you to take a call or answer an email, that's OK and we understand!
JMDavis@JessMarinDavis

I can't believe I need to say this, but if, as a journalist, you use my time, research & expertise without quoting me, don't be surprised if I never return your call.

@calyeOB @MontyBennett Your research is crap. About one-third of registered voters in NH are GOP. In Mass. it’s under 9%. Republicans lose all those House seats because the biggest bloc — independents — votes blue in federal elections.

@mkhammer False. Seger's finest songs are classic blue-collar anthems, simpler and truer than Bruce's melodramatic epics. But at his best Springsteen and his band took rock to a pinnacle. He flew higher than Seger.

Eventually you get tired of an ailment needing micro-surgery. I shall not mention where this cyst was buried. Pimple years past; popped. Cleared up. Developed cyst. Just opened up the void all around the edges. After the first slice rest goes kinda whatever. Squeeze. Douse. Done!

Tough to get a May snowstorm in New England, but we did have a close call today. If this storm had come closer to coast there likely would have a been accumulating snow in at least higher elevations. So yes, it was chilly today.
