If they built highways with magnetic strips in the concrete that allowed you to charge on the go; that would be a game changer. Aren’t the new taxis able to charge magnetically‽

@truthiness4ever @hoytehablode Craziest part is the artists have total control of it. It literally still is their artistic vision. They’ve simply got a great toolset to save time and money making that vision happen.

They simply need something to hate. It’s just the world now. If these graphics were produced entirely in-house by hand all the way, people would say it looks great. Instead, it was produced by artists, overseen entirely by the people who made it and used the tools to light it, with DLSS5 AI driving the aesthetic…. Sooo, hate.

Genuine question, why are people mad about this? I’m really not even trying to be dismissive or sarcastic here. Why in the world would anyone be mad about this?

@OilyBigDog @robschaper @DiscussingFilm Not only did they say this in the first episode... they said it in the trailer for the first episode. His take is so out of touch, the bar for getting to it is seeing the beginning of the trailer of the first episode. He is absolutely an action star

Great article on what DLSS 5 is actually doing. I know everyone is looking at faces, but look at the leather jacket. Look at the correct lighting on the neck. Look at the light diffusion in the hair (which is VERY hard to do right with strand hair techniques). This is awesome.

Dude is crazy wrong about the renewables. “It just doesn’t work” because it wasn’t given even remotely enough money, or opportunity to work. It’s a rapidly iterative technology that has grown immensely since even 10 years ago. Far more advanced, and efficient, than it was then. You can stop subsidies all you want, but it’s still the future, the world is still moving that direction, and if you had given $2 Billion per day to developing it instead of $2 B per day defending oil, we wouldn’t need to defend oil in the first place. Yeah, it’s used for more than just gasoline, I get that. It’s still needed, I get why. But to say alternative energy “just didn’t work” is a flat-out ignorant statement made by somebody with immense stake in oil. It wasn’t meant to replace oil already. That was never on the table. Stating it failed to do something it wasn’t meant to do… just makes no sense.

Oil is the only commodity on Earth used in every single sector of every economy. Even our adversaries need it. The Strait of Hormuz is two miles wide, and Iran is threatening to mine it. Whether securing it costs $2 billion or $4 billion a month, it's a rounding error in the global economy. I'm not pro-war. I hate war. But this rogue nation has been pulling this act for nearly 60 years. At some point, it has to end. One more thing investors need to hear: alternative energy didn't deliver when we needed it most. We spent billions on wind and solar as an insurance policy for exactly this scenario. It didn't work. Expect to see more pro-hydrocarbon policy globally after this.

@best_cryptobest @unusual_whales I mean…. It isn’t THAT much different than Musk, right? Sure, Musk isn’t running a surveillance tech company (yet), but he did have the complete authority of DOGE for a meaningful amount of time, simultaneously claiming the same “protector of free speech” narrative.

@lepslair @scratchthatout Well it was simply translating word for word what somebody asked it to translate, without anything added or substituted, as requested directly. Sooo… staged, basically. Same thing with this other post talking about Elon being a pedo. It’s a bot following human instructions.
