@CraigMilkowski Final word: I follow 28 horse related people I respect in the game, and yes you included, and you're the only one who felt the need to even mention the "old" story. Hope you feel better about yourself and good luck in the Preakness. I'm betting Incredibolt

You don't see the hypocrisy of it all huh? Laughable. The sport you obviously have a passion for, the sport that consumes the majority of your being and, if I'm not mistaken, you make a living at has far FAR more egregious goings-on than a couple of jockeys involved in cock fighting. But hopefully you got your virtue signaling out to the wokes and feel morally superior to those who have their eyes wide open and see the hypocrisy. Btw, who you like today? 😂

Q: "What did you think of the rally that your team had in the 4th quarter, really when it comes to Caitlin? I think she had 5 3s in the 4th quarter more than her 1st 2 games combined." Steph: "I thought our whole group showed resilience, in that rally we showed the ability to make tough shots." Its okay to compliment the team but to not even say a word about Caitlin who brought the team back is actually concerning😒😒😒

Imagine if Incredibolt wins the Preakness… and THIS is how he got into the race. Incredibolt was doing well after running sixth in the Kentucky Derby, so trainer Riley Mott called his dad, Bill Mott, to get his thoughts. "First person I called. While I was eating lunch, I called and said, 'What do you think?' He said, 'If he’s doing good, put him in. When do they enter?' I said I didn’t know. I called up the racing office and was like 'Hey, when do you enter?' They said, 'We close in about an hour.' That’s a true story. I am not embarrassed to say that. That is how not on the radar this race was. As a father myself, I love this so much. Sometimes that’s all kids need to hear — No overthinking. No fear of failure. Just trust the work, take the shot, and see what happens. Whether it’s horse racing or life, we should encourage our kids to chase opportunities when they’re in front of them. Rooting hard for @Riley_Mott.

$SPX Everybody was celebrating the selloff intraday. Then SPX closed the session printing another hammer. That’s now multiple hammer reversals during this entire advance. Bears keep attacking momentum. Price keeps defending structure. As long as higher lows continue to hold, the trend remains intact. The market has been rewarding buyers of fear, not sellers of panic. $SPY $QQQ @Optuma

Most insane stock I've ever seen. Miss after miss after miss and it just pumps higher and higher. If I didn't know better I'd think something nefarious is going on. Btw, I was on their 2016-17 ride and made out well on being short quite a few of the small cap ChinaCons on the early 2000's. So there's that...

Anyone else grab $AAOI in the 130's? Everything looks to be going to plan. Another situation with these photonics stocks where listening to management talk is way more important than the numbers. This is a forward growth story about becoming "a top 3 global laser supplier" with the ramp not starting until H2. The company raised full year guidance to $1.1B from $1B. Talked about their 900,00 sq. ft in U.S. factory space doing up to 30% production in USA on top of their 700K+ Taiwanese space Discussed their CPO laser which they plan to 80x production of (said they're in talks with several customers on this) Said margins could get to 40% towards end of year up from ~30% Working with 3 hyperscalers, one qualified, another almost qualified. Lin said real demand is $1.4-$1.5B even though they can only fulfill $1.1B. The company re-affirmed their target of hitting $450 monthly revenue in June/July 2027 which would imply an annual revenue run rate of $5B+ at a current market cap of ~$12B. This is what has triggered the massive re-rate. Execution risk remains crazy high but management just doubled down on what they previously said which is why the stock trade as high as $190 recently. I just don't think the strategically important infrastructure of AAOI (domestic laser fabs, vertical integration, CPO laser) is being given enough credit here. This could easily still be a multi-bagger if they execute, with the possibility of being worth several tens of billions in the next few years hence why it's the largest position in my photonics fund.

I believe AppLovin will overtake Google's share of wallet for most D2C brands in 2026/2027. Here’s why: 1. Cold audience at scale AppLovin's consumer platform only rolled out about 18 months ago. For our clients Axon is already the third largest ad channel, behind Meta and Google. Our clients spend roughly 70 percent of their ad dollars on Meta because Meta converts cold audiences with no buying intent. A good product, a strong algorithm, and good creative can persuade someone who was not looking to buy. That means scale is possible. Google does not do this well. It captures demand. It does not create it. So the scale is limited. The only platforms that tap the same cold audience layer are TikTok and AppLovin. That is the gap Axon walks into. 2. The pixel is the moat. And Axon's runs on a different graph than Meta's. For an ad algorithm to predict who will convert, it needs to tie web events back to a known identity. Without that, the model is guessing. Meta does this through its logged in user graph. Every event captured by the Meta pixel gets tied back to a Facebook or Instagram profile with years of behavioral history. That is what makes the model work. The pixel without the user graph is useless. From what I understand, AppLovin built a different kind of graph. They spent years running their SDK inside thousands of mobile apps, mostly in gaming. They know which device played a game last night, downloaded an app last week, made an in app purchase last month. When the Axon pixel fires on an advertiser site, the conversion gets tied back to a device with a real behavioral history. The model trains on that. Two things follow from this. First, the Axon graph is independent from Meta's and resilient to the iOS privacy changes that broke parts of Meta's attribution. Second, it compounds with every new pixel install. Right now, Axon's pixel is on a small fraction of US ecommerce sites. When AppLovin opens the platform to all advertisers, that footprint scales fast. More pixels means more web events tied back to the device graph, which means a more accurate model. That is what compounds. 3. More advertisers means a better model. yrevEbuyer types. This is the same flywheel Meta rode for a decade. We have already seen a meaningful step up in ROAS across our Axon accounts since the latest model update a few weeks ago. The model improves every quarter. I see no reason to believe that stops. 4. The team is the variable that does not get priced in. The AppLovin team is one of the sharpest I have watched operate. Driving incremental revenue at a CPA or ROAS that works for an SMB is the only thing that matters in this business. They get that So the setup is: cold audience platform, expanding pixel footprint on a graph independent from Meta's, sharp team shipping model improvements every quarter. That is the gap that compounds.

The stock has done some crazy things post miss after miss after miss over the past year. At some point the talk goes in one ear and out the other w/o the performance. IMHO, if the top tier guys can't catch a bid in this environment, can't see it happening here short term at least. Plus, current structure strongly suggests any bounce from here would merely be a retracement of the current correction. GLTA

Hoping for a decent size top line beat, at least. Fairly obvious a meet isn't going to fly given the reports and subsequent market reactions to $LITE & $COHR. $AAOI nuanced from those two so hoping results prove to be also. And while some air has been let out of the stock price the past couple days, a top line miss I'm afraid is likely to lead to an outright pop short term. GLTA
