@CatholicDrip___ @SteveHylan55254 To our High Priest Jesus Christ. I John 1:9 NKJV [9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Why should I take a Bible interpretation of a Protestant pastor…… Rather than the successors to the apostles (Catholics and Orthodox)? Obviously both claim correct, but one can be traced to Jesus Christ

@SolaSixMillion Romans 6:14-15 NKJV [14] For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. [15] What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Why do so many Christians hate the Law? Because they hate the Jews, who follow it better than they do.

Matthew 4:17 NKJV [17] From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV [21] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. [22] Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ [23] And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

If you read the Bible “without the Mormon lens” you will actually learn that Jesus did not preach repentance or baptism… And he certainly didn’t say that only those that do the will of God will enter heaven. 😐🤨

“Why doesn’t God stop evil?” Religious ppl- God doesn’t interfere in human affairs. It’s basically free will. Hold humans accountable” “then prayers are futile because He won’t intervene because of free will.” Religious people- I’ll be praying for you. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Jesus is referred to by hundreds of names and titles in the Bible, reflecting various facets of his character, roles, and divinity. These include key titles like Messiah, Savior, Lord, Son of God, and Emmanuel, as well as metaphorical descriptions like the Bread of Life, Good Shepherd, and Light of the World. I'm very confused about a lot of the questions you pose on here. You claim to be an ex Christian, whatever that is, but this is all basic level knowledge of Christianity.

They call him Jesus Christ like ‘Christ’ was the family name passed down from Joseph Christ. They treat ‘Christ’ like it’s a last name instead of a title. 🤷🏻

John explains that while a singular, ultimate figure is coming, the "spirit of the antichrist" was already at work in the world during his time through false teachers and deceivers 1 John 2:18-22, 1 John 4:2-3. The Son of perdition, The Antichrist In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Apostle Paul uses the title "son of perdition" also translated as the "man of lawlessness" or the "man of sin" to describe an end-times figure who opposes God before the return of Christ.

@Chastatch @Lew541207 It’s all in the bible my friend. John himself said that anti christs were already among the people (1 John 2:18). The idea of singular Antichrist was not what was taught by John. It’s Luther and even Calvin agreed that corrupt ecclesiastical authority is the ma of sin.

We Latter-day Saints on X need to boldly proclaim the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. We should not unnecessarily contend with our critics on their terms, but we should boldly stand for truth.

Not true. We are saved by faith in Jesus, not by being in a certain church. Worship the Eucharist? Jesus said to do this in remembrance of me, not to worship the bread. Acts 4:8-12 NKJV [8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: [9] If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, [10] let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. [11] This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ [12] Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:8-12 NKJV [8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: [9] If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, [10] let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. There is no salvation outside of the Church Christ established. I’m afraid to say it plainly if you reject His Church, you reject Him. And if your worship is not centered around the Eucharist the true Body and Blood of Christ then your worship is not worship at all. Christ did not establish a man made denomination built around private interpretation. He established one Church, one faith, and one Eucharist.

John the one whom Jesus loved didn't know Jesus? John 8:58-59 NKJV [58] Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” [59] Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. You assert a lot of claims on here with no evidence of your claims.

@sightONsound The claim itself was created after his death. The authors never heard Jesus speak, never even met him, and there is no reason to believe these were Jesus’s words.

The alleged words of Jesus recorded by the Roman Gospel writers “before Abraham, I AM” (John 8:58) are not proof that Jesus existed before Abraham. Instead, they are proof that the claim itself was created after Jesus’ death.

Acts 3:21 refers to Jesus' ascension into heaven, where He must remain until the "times of restoration of all things" prophesied in the Old Testament. It points to a future, ultimate end-time event when Christ will return to earth, eradicate the effects of sin, and death. II Thessalonians 2:3 NKJV [3] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, Where's the Antichrist at then if you're saying 2 Thessalonians 2:3 has happened? 2 Thessalonians 2:3 warns believers not to be deceived about the end times, stating that the "Day of the Lord" will not occur until two specific events happen first: a great rebellion or "falling away" and the revelation of the "man of lawlessness" identified as the Antichrist

The New Testament was in Greek. Jesus (Ἰησοῦς): Pronounced ee-ay-SOOS. This is a Greek transliteration of the Hebrew/Aramaic name Yeshua or Joshua, which means "Yahweh is salvation". The English name "Jesus" is not a direct translation, but a phonetic transliteration of the Ancient Greek name Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς). It originated as Greek-speaking followers adapted his original Hebrew/Aramaic name, Yeshua (ישוע), into their own alphabet.

@Simple_Shaman @Midgard_Walker I have and like I said you provided no evidence for what you're saying. I can also then say you're uninformed. Nothing you have said has proved anything. You do realize prophecy can have both a present and future meaning.

@Chastatch @Midgard_Walker It's ok that you haven't read the rest of Isaiah, but it really makes you look uninformed. The rest of second Isaiah makes it very clear that the servant is Israel no matter how much you wish it wasn't true. Now do you have 1 that matches my criteria?

This is describing a person not a nation. Isaiah 53:1-12 NKJV [1] Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? [2] For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. [3] He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. [4] Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. [5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. [7] He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. [8] He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. [9] And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. [10] Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. [11] He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. [12] Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
