MIND- BLOWING!! NYC DOE refusing services to ALL Deaf kids!! The DOE is REFUSING to provide services or Hearing Technology to ANY deaf kids not in public school, including kids with timely "June 1 letters". Deaf students can't follow along in class without this technology! 1/

@NateSilver538 NY turned conservative in 2022 because there's about 1.4 million Jews just in NYC and when the State came out with "reforms" to Yeshiva education, there was a massive communal get out the vote. That's how Lawler got elected for example.

Or it could be something localized to NY, as in 2022 when Dems really underperformed in NY/NJ despite having a good midterm otherwise. I'd hesitate to suggest the media should pay *more* attention to NY, but why there's a seeming conservative backlash here is an interesting Q.

Progress! NYS DOH called me to find out how they can help Medicaid/Medicare members get better access to Hearing Aid batteries! Due process does work! Now just need them to work out pharmacy dispensing with @Walgreens @riteaid and @cvspharmacy!

But the medical supply stores don't have them in stock! I called up NY Medicaid OHIP department and they said HA batteries are a pharmacy benefit and they will help the pharmacy process the claim. But Walgreens pharmacy Tech says they need permission from corporate. Can you help?
