@GarciaForWA I hope Cantwell (and other dems) spend some effort reaching across the aisle for support in the coming years. I appreciate your deliberate intent to end the division, stay away from the inflammatory rhetoric, and debate with civility. I hope other party members follow suit.

I extend my warmest congratulations to Sen. Maria Cantwell on her re-election, and wish her all the best in her next term. I also want to thank the people of Washington for giving me the opportunity to run for office, and everyone who so graciously supported me. Throughout this campaign Jessica and I have met amazing people, from such diverse backgrounds, who are passionate about making our state and our country the best they can possibly be. I have learned so much from them, and they have only deepened my love for Washington and the United States of America. Many of the most profound connections we’ve formed during the campaign have been with those affected by the fentanyl crisis: People who’ve lost family members, former addicts, recovery advocates and concerned citizens. This isn’t a political issue – it’s a human issue – and I will continue to do everything I can to help fight this deadly drug. The late Dan Evans, our former governor and my friend and mentor, sets us a great example of mutual respect and civility even when we disagree on issues. We are always at our best when we seek unity over division. To my wife, Jessica, and our children, I could not be more grateful to have a better family. Thank you for all your sacrifice, love, and support. I could not be here without you. You are the reason why I am so passionate about our message. -Dr Raul Garcia

Sen. Maria Cantwell votes for reckless federal spending that sends our national debt higher & makes our economy weaker. And most of that money is going to other states! Due to Cantwell's incompetence, the people of Washington are getting a raw deal. We not only need to audit federal spending and stop burdening future generations with crushing debt, we need to make sure our state gets our fair share of funding for treating fentanyl addicts, reducing crime, helping our schools, and supporting our communities in need. Sen. Cantwell is ignoring the needs of our people. She has failed at her job. It's time for new leadership in Washington state!

A new report finds that WA taxpayers are funneling $22.5 billion more into the federal treasury than we get back in spending. Who benefits? Mostly red states, writes columnist Danny Westneat. st.news/4dQgmoP

WA State has the highest gas prices in the nation because of the governor's cap-and-trade program that took effect in January 2023. Gov Inslee's climate mandate, which is the most expensive of its kind in the nation, has forced fuel prices to rise by 50¢ per gal in our state.

I was proud to speak on the floor today about my amendment to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act. This will ensure transparency so we know that ratepayer funds are used most effectively—especially given increased efforts to breach the Lower Snake River Dams.

FEAR During this initiative process I have run into something in this state that is quite chilling. People are afraid. -Teachers will privately tell me about meetings where they are told how to keep secrets from parents but they could not possibly go on the record -Police officers afraid of voicing opinions contrary to the Governor, AG, or Mayors for fear of losing their jobs -Wealthy men worth $500Million or above do not want to make any sort of contribution that would expose their name for rear of retaliation - they are also planning their departure date but would not speak about it publicly -parents are afraid of schools taking it out on their children if they complain -many parents are afraid to share their stories of overbearing school administrators -property owners terrified of coming under the sights of overzealous regulators -Energy companies afraid to defend their industry and making back room deals that hurt customers because it is the only way to survive in this state -Business owners afraid to challenge unlawful edicts from governors who assume 975 days of emergency power -Restaurants owners who were afraid to say anything against the AG because he would sick the liquor licensing burea on them and take away their ability to sell alcohol -Political players that warn me not to upset Bob F. Because he will sue me using the awful power and resources of the state This is wrong. It is not healthy. And it is the reason we were able to collect over 3 million signatures to get 7 initiatives either passed by the legislature or on the November ballot. Help us push back against Olympia and against the fear. #VoteYesPayLess
